Hello. At the moment, it turns out to change the sound of cutscenes. The dialogues that the characters speak during the passage of the mission to change is impossible. After you import the sound reproduces the defect. Will it be corrected in the new version OpenIV?

A load of pages has appeared. Can anyone explain it how that mods folders work? Do I have to copy the entire update.rpf?

It's been a while since I modded GTAV and played it and it seems things has changed?

I have updated the asi with the ASI manager. Just have to sort out the modding methode.

I am guessing that you guy's are working on models now?

Once we got stuff like model/map editing, comes the good stuff.

Models probably next 6 month if lucky or next year

Then come with the map modding which would probably take years :p

Sorry guys was sick and busy last week can't answer all you messages.

About the noise
Actually, I don't hear any noise in audio, I guess my speakers is truly awful.
But, as long as you guys says it is Rockstar issue and not OpenIV I can't do anything about it.
From OpenIV side we don't do anything with audio expect ADPCM -> PCM (and PCM -> ADPCM) encoding.
If you have a chance it would be great if you also check xbox360 and ps3 version about that noise.

About long/big tracks decoding
Currently it could take time to decode some really long tracks like The Lab radio which is in two big parts.
And when I say time a mean a lot of time few minutes and more.
It is known issue and I have few ideas how it can be improved.

About tracks names
Currently we don't know names of all tracks that why you see this strange hashes like 0x123ABCDF
But if you have any ideas of names you can try to add it in OpenIV and if it works you can send it to me so I add it with update.
The files with track names are here: ".\OpenIV\Games\Five\strings\Audio.Track.Names.txt"
If you edit it you need restart OpenIV to take effect.

Hi Good. I tried to install OpenIV but after downloading a file which size is ~17 MB installer just exits. I went to installing directory:

Try to disable your antivirus while installation.

What is the progress on map modding stuff? Things like:
-Importing and Exporting models and collisions.
-Editing .ytyp and .ymap files.

We are working on several things including models and PSO (.ytyp/.ymap) editing.
I can't say what exactly will be next or when anything will be available.

Hello. After importing files wav and yclip by aoc, the sound is played incorrectly. What could be the problem?

What do you mean "played incorrectly"?

What? Give me an example of file you can't edit.

Yes, you need to to copy the entire update.rpf.

Hmmh. Sound like there's still a problem with the audio. But I'm sure, GooD-NTS does know or will find out how it can be fixed :)

Maybe it can't be fixed unless you do some Audio Mastering.

I don't doubt Rockstar could f*ck up the audio.

Thanks for the reply regarding the model and map editing.

I am wondering if I could add a copy of the files under a different name for the heist yacht and carrier. See if I can make them be an entirely different IPL which is not switched off in SP. I hope that doing this won't mess up the interior lighting.

If you have a chance it would be great if you also check xbox360 and ps3 version about that noise.

There are no noises in interactive tracks of Xbox 360 version.

You want to skip the game selection screen, right? GooD-NTS's post here: (http://gtaforums.com...st&p=1067498009) explains how to achieve this.

Hi guys , maybe you all already know it but i found a very interesting post in steam forums . it was posted by a forum mod

Rockstar Games official statement about mods
We have always appreciated the creative efforts of the PC modding community and we still fondly remember the awesome zombie invasion mod and original GTA map mod for GTAIV PC among many other classics. To be clear, the modding policy in our license has not changed and is the same as for GTAIV. Recent updates to GTAV PC had an unintended effect of making unplayable certain single player modifications. This was not intentional, no one has been banned for using single player modifications, and you should not worry about being banned or being relegated to the cheater pool just for using single player PC mods. Our primary focus is on protecting GTA Online against modifications that could give players an unfair advantage, disrupt gameplay, or cause griefing. It also bears mentioning that because game mods are by definition unauthorized, they may be broken by technical updates, cause instability, or affect your game in other unforeseen ways. - Source : Rockstar Newswire[www.rockstargames.com]

TL;DR - Single player mods are kinda "allowed". Don't use mods while playing online. Create backup and delete your mods when you go online. It's at your own risk anyway.

good thing for VI that as you all know will take place in VC :D

Those post are old

Rockstar patch still break mods with their recent patch and they change native hashes which also break scripthook (they did it purposely with the native hashes because "security" reasons)

Their statement was BS

Why can't I edit .meta files directly in OPENIV while in "Edit mode"? I have to copypaste into editor and replace, or am I doing something wrong?

OpenIV have no inbuilt text editor. If you want to edit text files (like .meta) you need extract it, edit in notepad and then put modified version into OpenIV.
