what about a "placement search" option in wdr/wft context menu . it would be 2 clicks against 10 actually (i counted smile.gif )

Parallax shader is weird, it moves.

Well, parallax maps do shift texture coordinates depending on the angle, but from what it seems it might be overdoing it.

The both (animations *.OAD/WAD and fragments *.OFT/WFT) formats are almost on the same progress. Both was started to develop a long time ago, both have some success and some issues. And I really don't know which will be finished first. At last few weeks I don't had a much time to spend to OpenIV, so the here is no progress right now.

Has anyone ever seen this "Ghost Road" glitch/easter egg?

I'm posting this because I found it, and I haven't seen anyone post it anywhere else.

The texture only shows up on surrounding objects, and the boat, but not on the water.

Thought I would post this in here encase GooD-NTS has something technical to say about it. My guess is its ether an easter egg or a falsely placed object that was supposed to be on the road to add texture variation.

i've been there several times and never saw this . GTA IV is realism based so i think you have very likely a corrupted file somewhere , maybe a savegame . sometimes i get strange results too when testing from a savegame . then when i start from beginning everything goes fine . i don't see what it has to be with OIV ??

yes, thats true, i had a strange issue too, near the jamaicans club in schottler.
one instance of an img was suddenly appearing in the middle of the street with no collisions.
2 weeks after that, the instance dissapeared and now the game crashes when i get to this point.

this is the bad part of having a moddable game and enjoying it confused.gif

I have the game on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. Its there on all versions of the game, IV, TLAD, TBoGT, Single Player, and Multi Player. The ghostly texture is there on all versions.

if you can find which objects that texture belongs too you can reaffect some new textures to the said objects in the map ide . and replace that buggy texture with a transparent one . unless it's an easter egg but i have some doubts about that

Good, but now lies the question, can we open it within windows? So .WDR is linked to OpenIV, which opens the model viewer.

I think it is just a bug, nothing more.
