ok so I'm a total dumbfck on modding etc..i just bought xbox360 gta4 bogt ...but i wanty to buy gta4 pc soon when i get a new pc(this one wont be able to handle gta4 i think)
but what is this exactly? like this mod? do people on this forum like model buildings in 3dsmax/maya/blender and is it possible to put those IN gta4(PC)? if so thats awesome so like we dont need rockstar anymore we just build or own tokio or amsterdam or whatever we want?!?! ofcourse it wont be the quality gta4 gives us(i think? i mean i bet it took millions of hours to model all those buildings we see in gta4+the details etc) but itll be fun to drive around in tokio instead of the same old city we saw so many times...too bad this stuffis not possible for xbox sad.gif

added a link to an empty paths.img to first post, the file was tested with a fresh unmodified install of IV.

I am really sorry for the double post, but this might be interesting for you.

Cleaned script.img for version 1.0 and 1.0.1.0 (I haven't tested it on a newer patch, so it might work)

It contains only the startup script with a player spawn.

Nop , it crashes instantly on the start using version 1.0.7.0.

So 1.0.1.0 it is than. Unless you make a support for later versions.

Here are the empty path nodes of all vehicles except the plane as it isnt really an obsticle for any future TCs. Tested for 1.0.7.0 only so i wouldn't know for other patches. To remove distant lights and car LODs spread all over the city make sure to delete .dat file of it located in pc/data/paths. - And yes i know Gforce has already posted the same thing , but this one has complete set of empty paths , for trains and cable cars and that wasnt included.

Id like to thank for all tips Ive gotten from this topic ! icon14.gif

But, Im still seeing objects in the game...and cars...and people walking and falling in the water.

Iv tried Shadow-Links empty script, but it doesnt work ! (in 1.0.3 version) confused.gif

Im doing some static reverse engineering in gta.exe, in order to fix some bugs, but it would be better to do a dynamic one, that is, while the game is running.

But to do that, Id need a really clean map : no objects, no peds, no vehicles, etc. Thus I can track the programs flow when I force an object to be spawned.

[EDIT] - I could get Shadow-Links script to work...I just started a new game. biggrin.gif (thank Shadow-Link )

Im not seeing objects and LOD cars anymore...but Im still seeing Peds falling in the water. mercie_blink.gif

Is that normal ? dontgetit.gif How can I eliminate this thing ?

Is this possable with EFLC? Can I clean out the map updates from the episodes too with this method?

Try and edit (or even remove ?) the paths related to peds, no ?

Don't know where it is, try the "paths.ipl" files in \common\data\maps or the "carrecXXX.rrr" files in \common\data\paths
But maybe it is even in other files...

I just successfully cleaned my own GTA IV and imported some of my own models for the very first time today, and I'm totally excited about it!! Although I kinda have a problem, cuz, Niko just spawns in the water, in the middle of the f*cking map, so I can't really play around with the stuff I made. Yeah, so I was wondering if any of you guys know how to change the spawn point? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! :)
