i hase this problem with sparkIV

jessy-maus, you don't need to post ALL THE TIME asking for help...
If you take the time to read the very first post of this topic, you will see what the actual version (0.5) of SparkIV is able to do and what it cannot do right now.

Actually, you can EXPORT textures, but NOT IMPORT

It doesn't mean you will never be able to import your textures, you just have to wait for a next release, including this abillity.
Check the very first post of this topic for the news and, please, be patient !!

Hi, so Iíve checked it out and thereĎs been spoken here about it, but it didnít help me at all. How can I play the files from audio/sfx/LOADING.rpf? It extracted files like "0xa2682f05" without affix Ė whatís that? Wav, mp3, wmaÖ Should I convert it by some convertor, or what? (Sony Vegas doesnít work with it)

Probably need to give some time for this. It is possible and they are able to played in Audacity using RAW filters that come with that program, but I am not sure of the procedure, sorry.

I have a small problem (altough I don't know is it a problem). I am only able to open files at Grand Theft Auto IV\pc\models AND \textures. I can't open any other files, in \data for example. When I try to open them I get an error message saying: ''Access to the path [location of the file] is denied''. Can anyone help me with this problem, or do all users have the same problem? And is there any way to open .wft files used in vehice models?

Forgive, badly I know English language, I write by means of the translator. At a folder \data press properties and clean a tick "Only reading" And apply it to all files in a folder. I had a same problem, I have solved it so. Good luck! I hope you has understood that I have written....

Aru, I really hope that your SparkIV will support WTD and XTD file editing icon14.gif It will be more than cool!

But, anyway, will you post IV file format information?

Where are the various character images shown next to the Social Club news on the main game screen shown? (you know, the screen with "Start, Options, Quit" and such on the bottom). I can find the offline version of that screen in the pc/textures folder, but all of those show Niko on the side.

Techie question, the anim img, are there "banks" of animations (like the old ifp) or is it one per entry? Like move_gng@afro_a.wad, is that ONE animation, or a group of anims in that bank? Just curious. smile.gif

I'm trying to import those BMP's into the IMG file, but everytime I try to import a BMP, it says "The segment size must be a multiple of 4096 bytes". But even the originals, aren't a multiple of 4096 bytes!

Any solutions?

I am not sure if it's an error in your programme, my pc or if it's supossed to look like this. But there seems to be a problem in the uvmap of the shotgun. There are some white parts that aren't supossed to be white (I think).

Not actually, I prefer sparkIV's simplicity, just needing a external WTD editor and scripts for the models and i'm fine.

I hope you keep working on this (Or well, in any other IV-tool) Aru smile.gif

@Prince-link: Maybe a problem with the materials, happesn with all the models in the model viewer...

You know, these guys put a LOT of work into these tools, and there's really no reason to make the kind of statements that I see above. Just be happy that they have given their time and effort into letting everyone mod the game.

There's room for more than ONE tool around here. Try to be a little more mature about it, ok?

You people need to show some more respect for tool creators. It's not like you could do better! People are building this from ground up and look what they made possible in just 3 weeks since the game release. If you want better tools. Give him some suggestions for his tool or try to help crack the file formats! It's not as easy as you think.

Edit: ceedj beat me to it.. tounge.gif

@aru: I really like your tool and I hope you'll continue your great work!
