I exported one of the jacket textures from the game, modified it, and imported it back in. I saved and closed the Edit Texture window, then saved the playerped.rpf file. When I loaded my game it crashed, saying GTAIV.exe has crashed and needs to end (something similar to this). Basically, it was the standard error report message.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Does the latest version of SparkIV work properly with version 1.0.0.4? Any help would be appreciated, as I would really like to edit some of the skins in this game.

Actually, he could just be using an older version of spark that doesn't recognise patch 1.0.0.4. There's an update that's posted a few posts back, or use google.

Yup. And btw the cracks that are out there don't modify the GTAIV.exe, so that can't be the case...

I have a problem with spark: When i modded it and then start GTA IV the game works but the mod is not there^^
-> i edited the gps soundfiles(It works at my friends game!!!(The same edited files..)) but i cant here something in the game -> there is no gps xD(I switched gps for every car in menu on...)... so what can be wrong???? Please help!!!.

Since the latest patch SparkIV (and also OpenIV) doesn't show the nativenames in the scriptviewer anymore. (hashs only)
I thought the hasher-code changed somehow. So, I took a look at the 'ScriptingNatives.h' of the latest ScriptHookSDK, but it includes only the old hashes.
For example...
CODE
NATIVE_WAIT = 0x7715c03b,

...should be...
CODE
NATIVE_WAIT = 0x266716ac,

...or did I miss something?
Now I'm pretty confused...did someone know if or how the hasher has changed?...or is it necessary to created a kind of list to solve this issue?

@Aru: Can you add a function which make it possible to associate .img with SparkIV? It´s so annoying to browse to the GTAIV Folder because Spark only remember the last opened folder. Or if this is not possible, it would be more easy to use if Spark automaticly jump to the GTAIV Install Folder if i press on "Open" and when i use "Import" then Spark can jump to the last opened folder.

so does it read the encrypted handling/carcol/cargrp.dat and vehicles.ide, ect. as well? ..guess it doesn't really matter tho, you can't change the values using Spark dozingoff.gif
