1. [TEC]The European Connection 25-5-055 Winners of Gang League 2009
and the Best PS3 Gang of 2009,
a gang that managed to battle and crush
everyone on the way to glory.
Last five matches they did not have time
to finish so they were counted as draws,
but their mid-year perfect campaign led by
Henning92, GTAKing33, CakePicnic, Bates_GTA
and others gave them a deserved overall win
with an unbeaten w-d-l ratio.
Also, Henning92 managed to win the PS3
and Overall MVP of the competition
thanks to his stunning performances.

2. [Y]The Yardies 25-3-253 Second placed gang in Gang League 2009,
showed full domination on the PC GTA's
having won all the GL matches on them
as well as the Best Gang and Best player awards
on top with the 2nd and 3rd place in the MVP Poll
won by Greasepalms and ^-dice->
Despite some weaker performances on the PS3
earlier and later the year, their 2nd place
was not threatened by anyone,
but they couldn't reach the top.
Greasepalms, The Grove, AndySerb on PS3
and lt_yao, AreXi and ^-dice->
on SA:MP were their key MP men.
GTAF GL 2009 - 2nd Place
GTAF GL 2009 - Best SA:MP Gang

GTAF GL 2009 - 3rd Player

3. [EXL]The Exiles 24-3-351They finished third in Gang League 2009
started their campaign averagely on the PS3,
in mid-year, they played a few 360 matches
and dominated the 360 gangs present
Finally, during summer, they managed to
climb up at the joint first spot at one moment
after dominating almost
everyone in SA:MP matches, however,
inability to finish their PS3 matches
meant they couldn't climb any more then the 3rd.
Still, they won the Best 360 Gang Award.
Notable MP men of EXL are Tommy-Vercetti19,
gamesguru, Aussiebushmatt,
.Trooper. and Backtrap.
GTAF GL 2009 - 3rd Place
GTAF GL 2009 - Best IV:MP 360 Gang
4. [=A=]Angels of Death MC 22-3-547 Solid 4th place for the only MC around,
at the end of Gang League 2009
Their PS3 side lost all of
their played matches this year
but their 360 side only lost to The Exiles
having beaten SRS and all the other 360 gangs.
Thanks to that performance on the 360,
their member Booze T earned the
Best 360 Player award.
Other notable players were Jiggy95,
jaky2008 and Katalix on PS3
and Booze T, Nitty Don,
LeRay0409 and TUBBSthezombie on 360.
GTAF GL 2009 - Best IV:MP 360 Player
5. [SRS]SRS Incorporated 21-3-645 SRS finished 5th in the end however,
all the matches they played during this year
they lost, but they managed to get 5th due to
closure of other major gangs,
so the points went to their count.
Since they were the only gang
left with VC:MP players
they won all the VC:MP awards
Notable players on PS3 are
MC_320, aFinn, Kimd41 and Lega_c
while on SA:MP, it's Gronf, GTArv,
girishb and !!GameCH33TA!!
GTAF GL 2009 - Best VC:MP Gang
GTAF GL 2009 - Best VC:MP Player
6. [DDZN]Dirty Dozen 21-0-942 Finished 6th in the end,
despite closing before the 7th placed,
they finished this high due to
their amazing performance on PS3 at the
start of the year beating
everyone who stood in their way.
However, later the year, after a defeat to TEC
it was obvious that they will not be able to
get a high position,
and then they surprisingly closed.
Notable players were stev150, Goonah
lordjubblydave and docrikowski.
-
7. [HK]Hare Krishna 20-1-941 Hare Krishna finished 7th
but closed after DDZN.
Since they didn't manage to win or
even play any games
except a few on 360 who they lost,
they couldn't cap enough points
for a better finish in the league,
also being reopened later like the dirties.
Notable players were YoungJoe94,
Toke, claude_casey14 and xxxSIDESHOWxxx
-
8. [TCD]The Crook Department 17-0-1334 Crooks finished 8th in Gang League 2009
Having been a sucesfull PS3 gang earlier the year,
they managed to win a few
and lose a few, same
happened when in summer they played on SA:MP
and managed to take a scalp off The Exiles
However, upon closing,
their final position is 8th.
Notable MP men were
Jost_Vice, Captain_Awesome,
scarface1994 and MLVD
-
9. [SOL]Sons of Liberty 14-0-1628 SOL finished 9th in Gang League 2009
They werent very active on start,
but during summer,
they had an expansion,
and started playing in the
league and with other gangs.
They lost all their matches,
and after losing to Yardies, they closed,
and reopened months later.
Notable members were
SOL_John_1989, PARTY_F3NIX,
SGNT_KICK_ASS and S0L_DeLiCi0uS.
-
10. [TFMC]The Forgotten MC 12-0-1824 TFMC finished 10th, but they ain't forgotten
they were a solidly active 360 gang,
they played a bit with their allies
during spring when they were active,
but later on, they dissapeared,
and then closed.
Notable members were ClockworkMishap,
Wave160, Frank North 47 and DisembdiedHand.
-
11. [FMC]Forsaken MC 10-0-2020 Forsaken MC finished 11th in Gang League 2009
Like their allies, they played with the
360 gangs during spring
and then eventually lost the will and
the activity dropped causing
the gang to be closed.
Notable members were GameJesus, Dungals,
Brain82Chevy and Bizmat
-
12. [TLAF]The Lost and Found MC 8-0-2216 TLAF finished 12th and were
the first to close from the triple 360 spring
alliance, and weren't involved in a single match.
Their notable players were Duxfever,
Agoat, Rapperkid and casualtis
-
13. [TLMC]The Lost MC 6-0-2412 The Lost MC ended 13th in Gang League 2009
but in the gang world, they ended
like their GTA counterparts
They were a very active 360 gang and a rival clan
with Angels of Death MC in the early months,
but they never either managed
to get a GL duel done.
Notable players were Indi, Chunk,
BloodMoney88, Jam and Butter.
-
14. [APOC]APOCALYPS3 4-0-268 Finished 14th after closing, then opening,
but never managing to get a duel done
due to their members losing interest in GTA
after a year of being one of the best gangs.
Their notable GTA active members were Minic,
Bowz, Ptikobj and Panz
-
15. [PE]Project Error 2-0-284 PE were a nicely themed gang
who finished 15th in Gang League 2009.
Despite a short life,
they were a decent SA:MP and
PS3/360 gang out there.
Notable members that came out were Damien,
Jacky Fiend, Koik and ass reamer
-
16. [TL]The Loonies 0-0-300 Loons finished last in Gang League 2009
being the first gang to close back in January.
They were VC:MP and SA:MP active,
but they didn't make it
to the VC:MP duel as they closed before it.
Notable members that came out of the loons were
beto. Torcidas, Duke Nukem and Ya Mum
-
- [DRG]The Droogs
[WMD]WMD
[TE]The Enclave
0-0-0-Other notable gangs who closed
during 2009 and weren't
part of Gang League 2009 were
The Droogs led by Damien, Chunk,
Wreckless Jake and Jacky Fiend, they were
one of the best SA:MP gangs around.

WMD, who were an e-band/gang
and were also pretty decent on SA:MP
with nabo45, Koik, Tubbs and TheJonesy.

The Enclave, active on PS3 and 360
and their notable members were
Edmachine, DemonKing, Voodoo,Menaced.

GTAF Gang League 2009 is a competition between MP gangs of this forum, where they face off each other through all 12 months of 2009.
  • The competition starts in January, and all the matches taking place should be finished by December 2009.
  • Unfinished matches by December 27th 2009, 21:00 GMT will result in an automatic 1:1 draw. If an applied gang closed, all their non-played matches to that date are counted as defeats.
  • In late December 2009 top 4 players from each of the living gangs go to the MVP poll, and amongst all of them, best 3 are picked for the awards. Poll is deleted from the topic on December 27th 2009, 12:00 GMT, and the winners announced on 27th on the closing ceremony(post) shortly after 21 GMT.
  • There is no particular time and date for matches to take place, as the gangs facing off each other arrange it between themselves, via PM's or their topic.
  • The rules for PS3 and 360 competitions can be seen at the bottom of this post, alongside the PC and SA:MP/VC:MP match rules that all gangs have to follow.
  • At the end of a match, either one gang takes a screen of the final score, or one member of each gang confirms the results.
  • On your own team fixture list, completed matches are colored in green, while the one's who are yet to be played are in red. Matches who are half way completed are in yellow color.
  • Victory in a match earns 2 points, a draw gives 1 point to both gangs, and a defeat obviously gives 0 points. You MUST play 2 rounds.
  • Every match should be played with max 6 players on each side, and a minimum of 3 to start the match, however a new rule was later implemented that during SA:MP and VC:MP matches you are able to play 2 on 2.
  • Match can be ended with a player less if near the end, if a player walks away, or timeouts. Matches 6 on 5, 5 on 4, 4 on 3 and 3 on 2 can be played if the team with the lower number of players agrees to continue. It would be preferred to play with the same number of players on both sides though.
  • Regarding Home and Away games, you can play either both rounds by home rules, or one round your and one round the other gang's rules.
  • If teams have same number of points in the end of GL 09, for top 3, an additional match for the winning 0.5 points is to be played, gangs agreeing on rules. If it's for places between 4th and below factors are a) matches with that gangs b)more wins c)randomiser by AndySerb

QUOTE (AndySerb @ Dec 7 2008, 13:47)
Modes for SA:MP - DM, Rivershell, Area 51, Turf Wars

Come on, these are just simple gamemodes and f*cking boring. We should get gamemodes that hasn't been used in tournaments before. I might actually take care of this, and hopefully by next year I might get paid server aswell. Modes for SA-MP should be:
  • DM around the city
Los Santos, San Fierro, Las Venturas, Countryside, Desert. - We choose the location, set up world bounds and 50 random spawnings or so. Of course we might choose more cities and perhaps the hole world. Weapons you can use are pistols, shotguns, uzi's, assault rifles, rifles, thrown. Weapons like minigun, flame thrower, RPG, rocket launcher will be forbidden.
  • Stunting
With additional ramps, objects etc scattered through the world, best team whos stunts are the best, are wins.
  • Capture the flag
Teams are scattered through the world and flag or object is in the center. The first team who captures it, wins.
Of course we can replay all those actions. For example in capture the flag, we replay 10 times, and the team who has captured it the most, wins.
Also what the f*ck ? Whole year ? If it is 3 months, alright I could understand, but whole year ?? Give me a break.

You're just making it worse - you choose too much servers just for random types of gamemodes, however I am able to put all those gamemodes in one big server. I assure this year's SA-MP meet failed because there were too many servers to play on and everyone didn't know where to start or go.

Berkley, this is Andyserb's topic. Leave him to run it as he wishes. Suggestions are fine, but you sound like you've got a cactus up your ass.

I suggest that we stick to generic gamemodes (Such as Rivershell and Area 51). The competition would fair with those. You can easily practice them before-hand, as they come with the SA:MP server package.

As for stunting, I've got a half-complete basic stunting gamemode (which I'll patch-up), that you can use if ye like. You'll have to find a place to host it though.

The 1 year time-duration is a good idea - people usually prefer to play on weekends. We've got about 52 Saturdays/Sundays to make use of.

Good one to leave the blips option open to be set by gangs. icon14.gif

I think that starting to talk with a week in advance could help in gathering and scheduling. I mean it can be just a PM talk, then 48 hours before the match we communicate it officially... smile.gif

Yeah, sure i'm going to change that, ornganise it somewhere 10 days before the match or so like you suggested.

Just posted that so people dont start planning : ''we'll play them next month, then we'll play these next month''... that kind of stuff, because that won't lead to success.
As for the stunt server, any other script suggestions to use ?

You could do racing for VC:MP as well. There are a few simple racing scripts that would be easy to download and host.

And why no team-speak (unless you mean the program Team-Speak)? There's nothing unfair about it, it's just making a strategy with your team.

Mics/TS are allowed if the opposing team has at least 2 players who can communicate, and as for VC:MP, i'll add racing, but the only gangs that i know of that could actually face each other at vc:mp would be SRS and TL!

probably SRS. I'd be the only one fighting, everyone else would be too high.

Just a question: shall we use this topic to schedule the matches with the opponent or shall we use PMs?
Thanks and sorry if it's a dumb question. Maybe PM is better, right?

It's your choice really. PM's or IRC or through the topics of battling gangs.

I planned a few friendly matches that will happen in next 2 weeks to showcase how the tour's gonna be like, so you'll get the picture how should it be done when your gang's play when the tour starts from Jan 1st.

Of course, im still waiting for an application from Crooks, Apoc, Very Drunk Killaz, tarkers, maybe even Prop inc.

The Crook Department is another gang to sign up for GL 2009.

The Yardies and The Crooks had a test/probe match of how a match should be played last few hours, and it was a success, although it was 3 on 3 due to lack of the players for each team.

Pictures and videos coming tomorrow.

Indeed.
The test probe match was a success and if you guys do how we did organising this ( regarding IV:MP matches), it's bound to succeed.

HERE is how the standings were. Yardies won one match and TCD won the other. If this was a tournament match it would be counted as a draw 1-1, and both gangs would get 1 point.
So when it comes to these 3 modes, play twice, and the winners get theirs.
Would be nice if people would also take some screens off off their matches. We arranged our match about 4-5 days before it, so thats a recommended time for others. As for the settings, we didn't pay attention, as it was both gangs agreeing on normal ones, so when it comes to settings, look at the first post before the match to know what must be like it's written there, and over what gangs must agree.

Now for the screens:

Added you guys. icon14.gif

So, now all the active gangs applied for this. Propaganda Inc didnt apply, and i don't belive they'd want to either. As for other gangs such as very drunk killaz, the danger mafia and other's i've seen around, they don't seem to have more then 3-4 members, so i doubt they are capable of playing, and also unless a new gang rises, there wont be more then these 7 gangs playing.

So, happy holidays i guess, and good luck with the matches. may the best win! xmas.gif
