More like, it's Rockstar, as you can see from the game itself, it shouldn't have passed certification to begin with.

Are you guys serious? I know you're eager to have to patch, but give them some time. The game has been out for only 3-4 days, and personally I'm impressed how quickly Rockstar is working.

I'm not referring to everyone, just those complaining that it's taking too long.

And this is exactly the problem with GFWL,it's trying to make the PC act like a console. Before it always used to be the the devs could simply release a patch no questions asked quickly without all this red tape. Now Microsoft are doing just like what they do on the 360 and are certifying everything little thing which slows the process down. Listen Microsoft we don't want you to certify just let Rockstar release the patch already, goddamn i'm hating this GFWL more and more.

LOL - Doesn't it surprise you that the patch was ready so quickly? I'm betting they have been working on it since the master went to the manufacture... So they've had a few weeks at least, game was supposed to be out 2 weeks ago and got pushed back another week. I'm thinking they hoped to have the patch ready for the games release date so people could patch it immediately.

The patch started when the game went gold, which is definitely several weeks ago.

this is why i'm so happy about valve. they are a reputable company who aren't stuck up Microsoft's ass. GFWL causes far more problems than it "solves."

Hmm, good call. Still doesn't warrant all the complaining though.

So is this certification going to be as "great" as the certification the games for windows testers gave to the game itself? What does that entail exactly? A room of guys chain smoking and surfing pr0n for 3 weeks collecting a pay check and then approving whatever it is they were supposed to be testing?

First Microsoft need to add some bugs, glitches and problems before releasing, they do that to everything they release and certify and I wouldn't be surprised if the bugs and crash of GTA4 where due to the GFWL thing.

While I don't know about that, I know they do have a hidden agenda to ensure that their console doesn't look to underpowered in comparison to PCs, so the game's performance issues probably won't be addressed (at-least, not with Microsoft's "certification").

Ahhh, Microsoft (a member of the PC Gaming Alliance), and their Ex-box (it was more useful when it was just a box).

Interesting how PC Patches are normally rleased once done by Devs, but now Microsoft have to look at it first. Why? Are they gonna whisper that the Patch is too good and shows up the 360 version so they need to take it back and `fix` it?

Expect further delays.

If there`s one thing i hate about this is that the Devs never have the freedom to really EXPAND and improve on the PC version like they could, because Microsoft won`t want the PC looking too good over the console (will affect future sales). Forget good 100+ meg patches, expect 10-20 meg patches that do almost nothing.

Well, that`s my theory.
