Hi there.. When i try to start the game after some loading time it shuts down and says GTA Fatal Error: RESC10.

I have researched and founded out that it is because my videomemory is empty.. Therefore i need to buy a new grapfic card... Would this do it:

GeForce 8400M GS 512 MB GDDR2
Point of View GeForce 8400GS - R-VGA150853
Grafic: NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS / 400 MHz / PCI Express x16
Videomemory: 512 MB GDDR2 SDRAM / 600 MHz
Stik: VGA / TV/FM
Port type: PCI Express x16

Right now i only got GeForce 6600 GT 128 MB which i can't use, right?

- Thanks!! blush.gif

Yep, your video card's memory is required to be 256MB or higher. I haven't been entirely up to speed on video cards since two years ago when I built my current PC, but I'm sure there are tons of guys here who have kept up with the technology.

Hy,

But if you you search in this forum for "RESC10" you recognized that the RESC10 not always depends on your video memory.

I got the same error with a 8800GTX with 768MB.

For sure 128MB is defently to less for GTA IV but the issues came from the game itself..

Hello...

I kinda have a big problem, so i would be grateful if someone can help me...
i installed the game and it started when it reached to the loading place where the characters show themselves then GTA closed and saw the TEXP70 error. A day later which is today I reinstalled the game and now, at the start menu of the game GTA closed again and this time it was the RESC10 error...

I really dont know what to do so here is my graphic card info:

Processor- GeForce 6600/ Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU (3.00GHz)
Service pack is windows XP (Service pack 3)
DirectX version is 9.0 or better
Memory is: 256 MB

and maybe someone can helpme step by step?

Thx!

Compliments for you searching skills, you wouldn't believe how many people lack in that department.

Have you tried the memrestrict commandline?
