I've heard that GFW games only support the Xbox 360 gamepads, is that true? Because I was planning to use my Logitech gamepad for GTAIV...

I've heard that the only one that's officially supported is the Xbox 360 controller. Now, that doesn't necessarily mean that the Logitech won't work though.

Sup,
Yeah dude all GFWL does is make sure it work with the 360 controller. Any controller will work, but the 360 controller is just plug and play. Not to mention all the help messages show the appropriate buttons.

Peace...... on earth,

Of course normal gamepads will work, its a pc game afterall. It would be lame that only the 360 controller worked.

Kane & Lynch Dead Men is a GFWL game and it only supports the XBOX360 controller besides mouse and keyboard..
But yea, I am sure it will support other gamepads as well.

WTF? Do you think they will just "block" other inputs then mouse, keyboard and xbox controler? I hardly doubt that.
I am looking forward to use my logitech G25 racing wheel xD (just for some fun in between, ofc ill play mouse+keyboard as in all other GTAs).
I just hope pedals and acceleration according to different pedal pressures are possible in GTA 4, cause they werent in the previous GTAs.

GFWL = 360 Controller only, Juiced 2 had awful keyboard controls (Way toooo sensitive on keyboard) and only accepted the 360 controller, the PC Port was a flop because of this requirement!

"There is no support for my Logitech racing wheel, so I had to use my keyboard. IMPOSSIBLE! You cannot control the car with the keyboard it seems. One tap of the left or right arrows sends you directly into the adjacent wall or you are sent sliding sideways as it would seem that the entire game was given 'drift' physics.

Why do people want to play a 3PS PC game with a f*cking gamepad?

Hm GTA is not an FPS wtf? Neither any game mentioned in the topic. Only driving, racing and 3rd person games. You're on crack man.

Juiced 2 was a flop alltogether.

The 360 controller is a great controller anyway imo I'm not complaining.

From what I've heard I'm able to use Xpadder for this to emulate the keyboard and mouse...
