That looks better than most next gen games man, the effect is absolutely f@cking stunning. The lighting, it is just so damn beautiful. You guys should get an award or something, " The most bsolutely f@cking stunning modders" would fit nicely...

@fullmetal: Yeh, twas boring as f*ck, way too busy to be able to play something. Meh. I owned my mate in Soul Calibur something, though. tounge.gif

New pic of the Camaro SS, I used the Banshee interior, and fitted it onto the new chassis and totally retextured it, which was kind of annoying. I still need to do the dashboard texture and the inside of the door needs texturing. smile.gif

Ooh that water is just like in VCS. You used the VC water texture or made your own?

I used VC texture as a base, and applyed some retexturing to it, to make it look smoother and less pixelated. wink.gif

Vice City is my favourite GTA, but it is better in SA Engine.

If you mean that it looks like it is one huge poly, that's below the actual arch, I just didn't texture that yet, so it looks like it's lowpoly. I can't explain right. I'll fix it and show a new piccie.

EDIT: Here, bottom is now also texured, so are the wheel arches.

this is looking absoloutely awsome and for some car replacements may I suggest the vice city stories polaris v8 to be made for the game, that would rock!

By the way do you want to include this in the mod, it would fit alongside the sabre turbo magicially:

i gotta say, that last ingame shot looks awsome. the environment, the orangish glowing blurry background instead of having it cut buildings in half as draw distance usually does, looks wayyy better. one thing i could suggest though, is making the water more blue. the greenish color takes away from the sunny, nirvana like weather of miami. just a suggestion, make it more blue, even though youve probably already thought of that.

Okay, for the water color it's original Vice colors. So it might be the same water color into Vice City at this daytime tounge.gif

But yeah we can make it look more blue, but i don't think it'll be necessary. At other hours of a day it look normal blue, less green like you said. colgate.gif

Teun, as i told you on MSN, the car is sex, and with the front 3D grid and the right wheels it'll rocks.

About the lightning, doesn't it bug when you're facing to the sun? Cuz if you put a strong sun, it can bug the screen xD.

OMG vice city looks complete sex! It was my favorite GTA and it's nice to see it will be having SA's engine. I cannot express you how glad I am of seeing this mod looking so good.
Also, as a suggestion meybe you could even model the VCS cars, I know it's lots of work, but it would look cool as hell, but it's only a suggestion, i'm really excited with this mod.
Also, are you planning on also converting the whole storyline or the oddjobs?

Hey Paroxum, I have a question. Will the high-quality shadows, the plants in the grass and other specs be avaliable on low FX Effect specs from config? Well I hope not, because the shadows are very laggy to me confused.gif

were will all the tattoo palors, barbors, food places, gym etc. be located?
will you be using a player model of tommy? (Like pirlano's tommy model?)

Is there a set release date or deadline for the mod?



ps. SeaNorris let me in the team (doing cars like I asked)

sorry to nag teun, but in the space inbetween the front seats and the convertible top, is there going to be any backseats? if not, the car must have a huge trunk.

There won't be any tattoo palors, but barbers, and clothes shops are planned(we haven't decided about gyms and food places yet), and of course we'll use Tommy.

Are you going to convert whole Tommy model to pieces like player_torso.dff and all? Because that one with CJ body looks pretty annoying, because Tommy isnt a really big guy, more like a little.

And the clothes can be made by many users, they would be as easy as making the custom skins for Vice City.

There are already food places in VC and there is a tatto parlor with interior in Little havana where you get cuban clothes.

Cloth Shops? You know which clothes are you guys using yet? 'coz SA ones don't really fit VC, IMO...

OMG, I just had an idea tounge.gif . The Rafael's can be used as a clothes shop xD. But well, it's too early to talk about that. But anyways, instead of doing "Soiree clothes are now avaliable at Rafael's" it can unlock the clothes shops tounge.gif . Well, it's just an idea for future btw.

About the cars, they're great biggrin.gif . Just don't run too much from the Vice City idea like, making actual cars or something. tounge.gif
