I have played all of the 3-D gta's. I just got this one a week ago. I must say, it is very different from all the other ones. Even gta4 wasnt as different. There is alot of customization in San Andreas...........

So i have a few questions.

I am fine getting most of CJ's stats up, but the ones that keep troubling me are his respect and sex appeal. I cant find a way to get them to stay up. Im not that far in the game yet, but i have tryed changing clothes, shooting cops, shooting enemy gang members. The stat will go up for a little bit. Then as i keep playing it goes right back down. Any tips?

Also, in gta vcs and lcs when you use cheats your criminal rating goes down. In vice city only certain cheats make it go down. In GTA III it does nothing to your rating. How do the cheats and criminal ratings work in SA?

Thanks for the help.

Sex appeal is related to the clothes you are wearing and the vehicle you last drove. Early on in the game the cheap shirts and jeans from Binco will offer very little sex appeal, you will have to wait until later to unlcok better shops like Victim and Didier Sachs.

Respect will go up over time, just from killing people and completing missions, by the time you get near the end of the game it should be quite high.

I believe the criminal rating decreases by 10 (?) every time you use a cheat.

Respect will go up if you get in a big chase with the cops. 10 minutes on 5 stars will put it up a bit.
Also by completing any missions, other than C.R.A.S.H missions, respect will be boosted.

Gameplay Elements that effect Criminal Rating:
1. Passing a mission = 5 points.
2. Killing a ped or cop = 1 point.
3. Destroying a car = 1 point.
4. Destroyiing a plane or helicopter = 30 points.
5. Earing $5000 = 1 point.
6. Getting Busted or Wasted = -3 points.
7. Using a cheat = -10 points.
8. Vehicle spawn cheats = -100 points.

There you go, thats all I know.

Respect tends to boost itsself as the game progresses, I wouldn't worry about it.

Sex appeal is quite pointless to bother with, really. If it's just for the purpose of conveniently dating the girlfriends, just collect all 50 oysters.

As far as I know, respect can be boosted faster if you do gang wars and occupy all enemy teritorries. Just like what's mentioned, battling with the cops can help with it too but can be a much more difficult way.

In SA, I believe it's only about 100 pts. or so are deducted from your CR for whatever cheat you use.

One more question.............. If I were to use a car to hop the fence at the airport and get a plane. Roughly how long would it take before i get my flying skill to 20% so i can get my license????

Ermmm... I dont think you can get a license like that. Later on in the game, there should be a part where a guy called Toreno tells you to buy an Abandoned Airstrip, after you purchase it for around 50K or something close like that, the Flight School will be unlocked in the Abandonded Airstrip. No need to worry whats your percentage.

One question from me now, does it make much of a difference if your ermm...lets say, Driving Skill is Maxed out and if it is down to 0%.I dont see much of a difference.

No difference that I've ever noticed. Similarly the Luck statistic you get by collecting horseshoes doesn't seem to make any difference to the chances of winning in the casino or OTB

But the stats for bicycles and motorbikes do make a difference. If you hit anything, even just lightly brushing against it, if you have low stats for that vehicle you're much more likely to fall off.

You dont need to use a car. Just jump onto the box that the attendant sits in and then jump over.
Anyway, if you go to the LS airport, grab a Shamal and fly for 20mins and then you'll reach a level that'll open the gates for you when you arrive outside.

The flying skill is related to distance traveled in the air, so you won't get any in a hovering helicopter.
To increase it as fast as possible you need a jet going at max speed. AFAIR it takes ~ 10 mins. going at full speed in a Shamal to earn the pilots license.

To avoid the taxi glitch it is advisable to stay within the map!

It's 40% (or possibly a bit less) for the parachute.

The airport gates will open when you reach 18%, but I don't think you get the "License acquired" message before you reach 20%

There's no notification for the complimentary parachute.

Dont weorry about the bar. Just fly for 20mins in a Shamal at full speed without looking at the stats and then you'll be able to get in.

If it has said "You can now weild two of these weapons", then you should just be able to pick up the particular weapon and have to of them in your hands. There is nothing you need to do.

To recruit gang members, target an friendly gang member and press up on the directional pad. I dont know what you do for PC though.

yea, it said i reached hitman level and i could wield 2 weapons. I looked at my bar and it wasnt that full though. So I found another 9mm and ran over it. All it did was add more ammo.

How is that my fault?
Obviously you hadn't got Hitman yet. Get a 9mm and press L1 (on PS2). Look at the weapon skill stat and see how full it is. If it isn't full at all, you need more experience with that weapon.

I never really said it was your fault.............. However I figured out the problem. It only said that once you reach hitman you can wield two. It never said I had actually reached it.
