I like to alot to be honest the only thing i would say remove is the flame thrower i just coudn't imagine R* making it.
Did you put radio stations in? i forgot if you havvent do so now i say!!!! angry.gif   lol colgate.gif

You can legally own a M2 flamethrower(the one used in world war 2) in 40 states. So whats unrealistic about it. I think all that fire and burning people would look amazing with the graphics. As long as there isn't a Minigun almost anything is realistic.

Whats wrong with the minigun?

Well its recoil is way more than a human can take and its way to heavy.

Will the game include a empire building game? I miss that on IV and I think it should be included in the new Vice City.

I like the map very much but I'd put a much bigger island at the end of the highway (that highway is a great idea btw). And I think the radio stations feature too many songs. 15-18 would be enough IMO. Great job anyway. ; )

I've updated the first post with a brand new story, and will update the Characters and Map tomorrow.

The new story is completely unrelated to the previous one, except for a few characters. Hope you all like it, I think it's a big improvement on the previous one.

And now I've updated the logo, map, removed characters and cleaned a few things up. The main post is now totally different.

And I had to bump this. sad.gif

Okay, now I've replaced the weapons section with an image with pictures of all the weapons, removed parts of the Map section and changed a few things as well.

Billie Jean was already in Vice City, that's why I suggested Thriller. Plus Rockstar probably wouldn't go by what songs were/are most popular. They'll probably follow the trend of choosing music that fits the setting and atmosphere of the game, like they did with Grand Theft Auto IV.

GTA Dude, I've got a sh*tload of more music suggestions that I'll get to later today. biggrin.gif

Awesome, but I think some of the stations are getting a little big, the song list for each should be around 15 songs. I don't know alot of the songs you posted, so could you just cut a few from the stations to get around this number? That'd be really awesome.

Also, does anybody have some feedback on the new story?

Well, the amount of songs that we've got on there wouldn't seem so far fetched for the next GTA, since GTA IV had a ton of music in the game. I'd presume that the next one would have at least a slightly higher number of songs than GTA IV did. Each game seems to add more songs than the previous game had. But I see where you're coming from. As opposed to just adding more, I'll edit the stations to take out some and add ones that would fit better with the mood of the game in their place.

Also, the story seems a lot better than the previous one. Has more ties to GTA IV, which I like.

I wrote the first story before I had even played GTA IV, I knew the basic story but knew nothing about the diamonds.

And thanks heaps for your work on the music section.

Out of all the ideas for the next GTA, this one has to be my favourite. A modern Vice City, an awesome soundtrack, a good selection of weapons, and the story and three way ending is also very good. Also, is it possible to create your own criminal empire once again? Judging by
QUOTE
Daniel does several missions for both, which involve intimidating people who haven't made payments, and eliminating competitors in the guns business.

It sounds very much like running an Protection Racket and eliminating the competition.

Either way, very well done on this.

The missions for Evans were just meant to be generic 'go here, kill this guy' missions, but Empire Building is a good idea. I'll add it now.

Every part of this is perfect. The car and weapon choices and thread design and the best I've seen. I really like the map, although I would recommend adding the Bahamas, or possibly even Cuba. I will read the story next.

I actually did have a version of this that included both Cuba and the Bahamas, but it just couldn't work. You'd need different weapon sets and vehicles for each region, the story would keep hopping around the different places, and alot of detail would be sacrificed just to have two new areas.

At the very least R* should give a nod by having a minor character called Jerry Kapowitz.

Love your idea of the next Vice City. I think the music looks good, and I love how you extended the original Vice City map, it looks perfect.

If you don't mind me asking, what program did you use to make it with?

I use Xara Xtreme (the free Linux version) for everything you see in the main post.

Rockstar would have already started working on the next GTA, Lazlow they said before GTA IV's launch they had some concepts already.

But it is fun to make anyway. colgate.gif

Yeah, things like this are fun to create and others can have fun speculating what's going to be in the next GTA.

You never know, Rockstar might have a look at this forum and although probably not taking the whole thread idea, they may take little bits from it or at the very least make a spoof of it.
