The drug dealing mini-game will allow the you to peddle six types of drugs around the city. You will be able to make a profile from this, and there is some brains involved, the profit you make will depend on market conditions which will be based on the area you deal and the amount of service this area receives from you regularly.

Sounds cool don't it?

Can we test the drugs for quality control?

I think I might buy a DS just to do this... devil.gif

Wow R* pushes more boundires and adds something that should have been added in GTA years ago in a portable game rather then in IV which was a next gen game lol.

Either way this was hinted at in VCS and should have really been built upon for IV but hopefully this and the Empire Building in VCS will be added upon in the next GTA. I'm looking foward to how Chinatown Wars turns out even more now.

Come on now what drug has Miami always been known for especially in the 1980s. I'll give you 2 hints. Ecstacy wasn't known until the 90s and dope has never been a Miami drug.

Keyword "DRUGS" not drug...that is why I asked the question, I have not played Vice City Stories yet. There was no drug pushing in Liberty City Stories. I would guess cocaine was one of the drugs, but was it the only drug sold?? That was what I was asking.

As far as DOPE, that could be anything weed, crack, coke, heroin or x...I have heard a few refer to it as X, which I had never heard before. So maybe the word "DOPE" itself is just another slang for "DRUGS"

Again my question to the Vice City Stories gamers....What drugs were actually sold in that game?

You didn't sell any drugs, the storyline just involved a large quantity of cocaine that belonged to two powerful criminals.

what the hell. Dope is heroin. That's a known fact. No other drug is called dope except by people who really know nothing about drugs what so ever. Weed is not called dope. X is not called dope. Coke is not called dope and crack and meth or most definatley not called dope.

And to GTA Dude you did sell drugs in the game. What do you think those Drug Empire deals were involving? Selling pixie dust?

As was mentioned above me, it depends on the region, here in Australia Dope is a word used to describe weed.

See!!! This is what I am saying....Dope is used for a lot of different drugs...Down south Dope is referred to as Crack...really man...Google "dopeboys" Rappers like TI, Young Jeezy, Goochie Man...they rap about Dope, but they not talking about Heroin. People don't really push heroin like they push crack or weed man.

Dope = JUST Heroin is not true.

Sorry man, but its not.

Known fact? to what region, and what country?

Do you remember those old T-shirts in the 80s that said.

"Don't Smoke Dope"

I had 2 of the shirts in 3rd grade. Do you think they were referring to Heroin?

You don't smoke heroin, you inject it.

Ive mostly heard the term "dope" to describe CRACK, but I am not saying it only describe heroin like you are saying. Do some traveling man. Get out of your neighborhood.

no really....get out of YOUR neighborhood.

We can argue this til we blue in the face and our fingers ache from typing.

Your turn.

WOW!

I've written a lot about monetizing video games, but Rockstar is taking it to a whole new level, bringing drug-dealing into the new version of Grand Theft Auto for the Nintendo DS.

Rockstar Vice President Dan Houser explained to Edge magazine why the company included this feature in the game:

"We wanted to have a drug-dealing mini-game in lots of the GTA games," Houser said. "We played with it a little in Vice City Stories, because it worked really well juxtaposed with the main story. It works well with what GTA is, with driving around the map, and it gives you another thing to think about--another layer or piece of the puzzle to keep you motivated...It does intersect with the main story and things you learn from it work with the story, but it mostly runs on its own."

If nothing else, you have to admire the guys at Rockstar for their willingness to do pretty much anything to make GTA interesting and controversial.
