f*ck me!
i was playing IV before, the storyline, for the 2nd time round, and i had 1 save file which is about 94% and the other one only 22%
so what do i do when i go to save after a mission?
save over my 94% file
is there ANY way in this wide world to get it back?

You should have made two saves of it just incase....
Anyways you can get 100% save files off the internet....

I did a similar thing and wrote over my 100% file, but wasn't all that bothered as theres nothing to really do after 100%. Though if i was on 94% and wrote over it i would be gutted.

Make backups, it can be done now on consoles. I'm not sure about the 360 but you can copy saves to USB drives and memory cards on the PS3.
360 users! Can anything like this be done on the 360 too? (I'm not baiting, I'm just asking. I really don't know

Yes you can copy to MU's (Memory Units) but it would still be easier to create 2 save files no? and snap, happened to me as well.

I did it once with cheats and auto-save, I hadn't saved in ages and then I went to bed, keeping my auto-save file the current one. Later, I decide to mess around and do some cheats, and I drive by a random mission pedestrian... of course I think "hey, that's neat, I haven't seen that one before" and I do the mission... and when it's done it auto-saves with the cheats used over my save from before.
Now I have 3 current save files and 1 cheat save file and I save twice just to be sure I still have my good game, and auto-save is off.
It only happens once before you learn from it.

It happened to me once, but thank God I save two different saves, so nothing was lost, I just had to replay a mission...

YES! There is a way, i did the same. Basically if you have autosave on your good, it will have a copied version of your save at the bottom of the slots, go look i was so pissed like you until i realised and saw that, just reload it then save it back into a proper slot

Really? You can do that!?! Oh snap! I never knew that. I need to try that.
@AdamDW: Yeah, that's what I did! I accidentally copied over my story complete save and I thought I was screwed. But, when I looked at the bottom slot, there was my savegame! Sweet! I just loaded it and saved it again. No sweat. But, I made sure to save it in my second slot, so I won't make the same mistake again.

Yeah, I tried saving my savegame to my USB drive, too and it didn't work.
How do you make it work?
