what do you think? is Chinatown Wars going to be 3D or 2D?

mods: poll please

i think its going to be 3D, Stories were released a few years ago, the psp is a few years older than the Stories titles, the DS will most likely be able to run 3D too and by now/in the very very near future i bet the technology will be available

I think it will be this. The game will be 2.5D, it has 3D models but will be viewed in a 2D birdseye view. If it's a fully fledged 3D game like the stories games I'll be amazed, but I won't be buying a DS for this game.

I think some sort of combination of the two will be involved.

I'm sure it'll be 3D.

The real question is, what will the perspective be?

If Driver can do that on the GAME BOY ADVANCE, I'm sure R* can go 3D on the DS.

And from what they said, it will be 3d.

Apparently the GBA version was alright...

But yeah, they're making a new custom engine. I have a strong feeling it will 3D.

Well that is pretty good for GBA.
So we can only imagine what DS would be like.

Just the same as GTAIII but only restricted to a little area?

Look at the graphics on Nintendogs, which is like 2 yrs old. It's pretyy darn good.
CTW can be even better than that, so I'm gonna say a 3D, just like GTAIII.

Yes I agree, but its shows what can be done, even if the game sucked. And its R* we are talking about here, the game might have sucked, but it looked pretty cool for a GBA game.

Most people these days will only buy it if it's 3D, so I think it's going to be 3D.

However, I don't think the graphics will be very good because of the DS's weak processing power (I have Juiced, ProStreet, Carbon on DS...graphics were a big disappointment).

On the other hand, with a generic name like "Chinatown" makes me think this game will be very insignificant compared to the rest of the GTA series...just like GTA Advance, hence would be 2D.

I hope it will be 2D, then I don't need to be worried about missing it out. Or if it's on 3D then they port it over to PC or PS2.

I don't know. The DS is less powerful than the PSP. In the PSP version of Vice City Stories, there is a lot of bugs and it can be very slow in loading parts of the city so I can't imagine such a game running correctly on the DS but there are good games in 3D on this console (Super Mario 64 DS, Mario Kart DS), no ?

I was pretty much on for it to be 2D, but after seeing some GRID images for DS, i think it will end up as 3D. Not as powerfull as PSP, but surely possible of handling it.

And i said it will be 3D, i didnt say the graphics will be a masterpiece.
