Sorry if the title is misleading.
Anyway, I've had this thought in my head for several weeks. I love GTA IV, but I think San Andreas beats it in every way possible. Its soundtrack is just fantastic (better than IV's), great story, there are too many things to do and it's so fun, that I felt it never needed a multiplayer mode. So I wanted to ask, would you like/support a GTA San Andreas remake for the 360/Ps3 with the Euphoria engine and grahics? I would, but I want to see if you would. Thanks.

I would be in favor of seeing the state of San Andreas redone next-gen style, but like GTA4 a totally different storyline within a totally different canon.

You mean like SA in 2008? That'd be cool. icon14.gif

And considering that LC was redone in IV, a new SA might just be possible sometime down the line. However, re-doing the entire SA will be a hell of a task and if R* are going to do it, better start early. wink.gif

I think SA would work better in a modern-day setting than Vice City. Take Vice out of the 1980s period and you risk losing that unique vibe.

EDIT: Any remake must have steak! Just getting into the steakhouse with Millie on a date doesn't cut it, either.

Maybe if San Andreas was in 2008, I'd support it. If it's just a remake for the next gen consoles, I'll pass. Graphics aren't the only thing that makes a game better.

I don't think i'd like a SA in 2008, but, i would like a SAS with better graphics than SA.

San Andreas already has a multiplayer mode, along with a strong gaming community to support it:
San Andreas Multiplayer (SA-MP)

Multi Theft Auto (MTA)

I dont support any console that takes away from the PC gaming industry; that includes PlayStation and Xbox so youre losing my interest with that, unless you focus on a PC version.

What is said above ^^
I'm in no way supporting a game that doesn't get out for PC.

So, if SAS came out on PC, you'd 'support' it?

Of course, but if it came out for PS2 I would "support" it too.

It doesn't seem likely that R* would be thinking about PS2. Get a PS3. wink.gif

I'm definitely not going to buy anymore toys I had enough with the old Xbox and a PS2. I can use them more if there will be any GTA on them. But that's about it. I'm back as a PC player.

Also, cheat codes are easier to type on PC tounge.gif

I'm definitely with you there, Flesh-n-Bone.
It's just not worth getting a next-gen console for one game.

I would support it on PC, but not PS2, since I don't really like consoles, I like pc much better. tounge.gif

I wont bother as much as I can just buy the game and play straight away. I don't care if PS2's having a sh*t controller but better than never get to play it.

Sorry to go off the SA remake topic here, but the GTANet staff has added a GTA: NeXt section of the forums for the discussion of the GTA series in regards to its future. I've taken my posts on the subject there. icon14.gif

San Andreas...With the IV engine. The results would be mind-blowing. Make the Textures HQ, make the Upgrading much more epic....Oh my god....That. Would. Be. AMAZING.

Surely it is only new.

I would definitely support it. I like IV, but San Andreas was my favorite. I'd love for Rockstar to remake it with the RAGE engine.

I would support it of course. SA was a great fun, I would love to see detailed countryside and hopefully bigger countryside!!! maybe, with newer abilities in coding, they will make myths possible too.
