AC/DC's Hells Bells!
That's a good one.

Tarney Spencer Band with their hit "No Time To Lose"

Black Sabbath's intro to "Fairies Wear Boots" always sticks in my head.

UFO with Schenker in 1974 doing "Give Her the Gun"
Great subdued rock lick Schenker came up with.

Pink Floyd's Us and Them is one of my all time fav tracks, but the intro is also total class!

Haha, how lazy are you??

The best intro is SikTh - Pussyfoot. The best video I can find of this is some feller playing along to it on youtube, but he does play the actual song so you can hear it - Link.

Yeah, AC/DC definitely. But if I were to pick one, It'd be Thunderstruck.

Nick Mason once commented that the intro to TIME by Pink Floyd afforded him the drummer's dream of a rather lengthy showcase... When I heard that, I thought of the intro in a new way. It just seemed typical of PF, but Nick feels it would be impossible to do these days...and at least get attention. (radio airplay, success generally speaking)

Best list yet, I'll say.

I'll snatch a few and make a list of my own.

Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower (Live version here: CLICK I think it's better)
Led Zeppelin - Kashmir
The Who - Baba O'Riley (The uncunning call it Teenage Wasteland)
The Eagles - Hotel California
The Who - Eminence Front
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven
AC/DC - Back in Black
The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again
Phil Collins - In the Air Tonight (favorite part is the drums somewhere in the middle of the song, of course.)
Led Zeppelin - Dazed and Confused

A few more links to go.

Iron Maiden - Hallowed Be Thy Name

Iced Earth - Burnt Offerings

Iron Maiden - The Trooper

Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast

Nevermore - Sentient 6

Threshold - Sanity's End (No video on Youtube. I just can never get those opening lyrics out of my head...)

Anthrax - Time (Not that amazing, but I love to dart me eyes back and forth from speaker to speaker/earphone to earphone when they play their respective ticks and tocks. Best part of the song. tounge.gif )

Basically, I just ran through my 100 or so most played in iTunes and picked out the ones where I liked the intro the most. Certainly not a definitely list or anything.
