A Scaeletrix in a car. That's about as pointless as a PlayStation in a car. Or 12 TVs.

This what I'm talkin' about, bwoys.

i guess  you don'tknow sh*t about the big boys of racing, NO SERIOUS racer would buy a turbo from EBAY claiming 500hp thats bullsh*t and you can't just buy a bunch of expensive parts and go fast, you have to get your sh*t tuned to perfection before you can run buddy.

I'm fully aware of that. But theres no point trying to perfect an engine setup when it doesn't have the displacement to power it's induction

I will expand a little. Building an 11 second Civic is a monumental waste of time for a number of reasons.

1) A 1.6L engine won't provide enough exhaust gas, across a large enough rev range, to power the turbo without monumental lag. It simply wouldn't have the power to make the car drivable. Same applies for a supercharger
2) FWD is a waste of time in a drag car- you may get 11 second quarter miles out of it, but it will render it completely unusable for anything other than drag racing.
3) Even within drag racing, it's much more financially viable to get a more powerful, RWD car in the first place and use that.

A 500+bhp 1.6 FWD Honda is going to be sh*t. Might be alright down the strip if you have a proper gearbox and LSD fitted but that's about it. Awesome fun they might be but on the road, pointless.

At most I'd Rotrex or JRSC supercharge my K20 for up to 300bhp, but to be honest I don't want the handling and B road fun to get overshadowed by too much power (which there is such a thing of). It might mean I have a small penis but at leasy I can have fun with it. wink.gif

I still love the EK shape though.

The cambiocorsa gearbox is a bitch on this one. The gears are set in a very "weird" way, glad they came up with a full automatic.

Good call, although the Tourers don't do much for me.

I'd rather have the car in MG ZT form. Mmm, V6...

The Fat Girl (first pic) used to be fairly local to me back when Tim Cameron owned it. It's a sweet rig. EFI 502, TH400, steering rockwells, coilovers, etc.

Now it's up in MN with some gay octopus skins on it.

I don't really care if you meant it or not. There's something about sh*t cars, and cars that were complete and utter failures, that does it for me.

Am I the only one who thinks modified, street racing type cars are completely bland and without character?

Do you mean that street-legal race cars like the ACR, or ricers?

I mean bodykits and nitrous in general.

Modified Supras and such, like the ones you see in The Fast and the Furious, really piss me off.

So f*cking boring and bland. 'Oh, look at me, I stuck a ridiculous bodykit and paintjob on my Supra, then I hooked it up with lots of nitrous.'

Grr. f*ck off.

i agree with you in a slight way, heres what i mean..

if i was to see a hatchback, 1L or so piece of sh*t with a body kit, shiny air filter, huge exaust and 1000's of NOS stickers, i just cannot stand that and wish for the car and owner to be burnt..

but what they are trying to achieve is a tuner which have now got bad reputations from the above, as they are truely good performance cars with usually well over $40,000+ spent in total on making a great car, but with these chavs, ricers, poor people lets say.. they have made a bad repuations for the true tuners by trying to making cheap unreliable cars into 'performance tuners' which is completely wrong.

I was actually referring to the actual tuner cars - I really can't see the appeal of them.

I can see the appeal of a well done tuner car, such as this Skyline.

I feel the appeal is when somebody wants to have a car that is properly unique, but is their own if you get what I mean. With most cars that have been heavily modified, you can always tell if the owner has really put their heart into the car, which is where a lot of the appeal comes from I suppose.

But when someone has fitted a drainpipe and some fiberglass bodykit that hasn't been painted properly to a Fiesta or a Saxo or whatever, that's when cars that have been properly done up are given a bad reputation.

Yeah, as long as the cars are aesthetically pleasing and have some sort of ACTUAL engine upgrades then I have no problems with them. Obviously someone trucking a goddam park-bench for a spoiler and quad fart cans should be denied the right to live.

That...now that is nice. Maybe I was being too general when I said 'all tuners'...what I'm getting at is stuff like this:

Y'know? I'm aware that these things might be able to go properly fast and all that, but to look at they're just completely uninspiring.

I'm totally with you on the whole turd polishing aspect, though.

I actually quite like that Supra, the colours suit it and someone has obviously spent a lot of time and money doing it up.

Now, by a bad Supra, I thought you would of meant something like this.

The front spoiler also looks like a happy face as well, which never helps.
