QUOTE (Indi @ Monday, Apr 9 2012, 23:32)
I know someone who used to have the P5Q PRO. Solid and reliable with Q6600.

That is my old system. I still use it for older titles, storage etc. But I recently moved it to my country house. I used to overclock that Q6600 to 3.6ghz with ease.

Had mine on 3.4 on air on the same board--I must've had the GO version, since it was a very reliable overclocker. I've had my i5 for a year now and still haven't overclocked it--it was a lot easier with the FSB.

Indi: don't really see the need in you upgrading, to be honest. I'd just install a better cooler and see about some overclocking. The argument that PC gamers need to constantly upgrade is just untrue; I've had my GTX 260 for three years and it stills runs all games acceptably at 1080 progressive.

As I mentioned when I got them, I bought a second Palit 512 8600GT, hopes to pair them in SLi, but due to the computers I have, they are running as singles in two different rigs, What was the difference in the Pro? I believe they did move to dual PCIe slots?

Just bought TBoGT from Windows Live. I'm a bit bored with the normal GTA IV and miss all the fun of playing TBoGT on Xbox. I can't wait to pick up peoples cars in free roam with my Skylift (with help from Simple Native Trainer of course) and drop them in the sea devil.gif

EDIT
Ugh a 3GB download which will take me like 4 hours to download suicidal.gif

I ended up buying EFLC twice because the Live content delivery system was so sh*t. Basically, it downloaded to 99% and refused to download any more, regardless of how long I left it. If I deleted it, the same happened again. I complained, they said "oh, it's on your PC side not ours" (evidently not true as it was a fresh build and fresh format) and refused to refund me. Never used it since, bought it again on Steam.

Unlucky there that's over £10 down the drain. On the Xbox I can re-download anything I've bought in the past. I thought this would be the same on Windows Live confused.gif Just hoping my BT crap hub doesn't stall now and after an hour of downloading it's only 17% done suicidal.gif

Any old Shadowrun fans here? Never played the original P&P version, but I absolutely love the Genesis/Megadrive, SNES games and still play them nowadays. Got $30 pledged. Would drop more, but really can't stretch further since I already splurged $100 on Wasteland 2 orly.gif

On Wasteland 2, last day: http://www.kickstart...ile/wasteland-2

Doubtful, but would be nice if it reaches $3m smile.gif

I hope so as well.

Also, Wasteland 2 is suppose to come out by October next year, what are the chances of it being delayed? They haven't even started making the game.

That's the aim, yeah, but they've said if necessary it'll be extended reasonably (the normal kind, not the Valve/Blizzard versions tounge.gif). I'd welcome that assuming it's used wisely, and it's surely better than a locked-down deadline set by an aloof publisher. They're obviously free of that, being one of the great things about Kickstarter as long as the devs are capable and dedicated, as is fortunately the case here it seems icon14.gif

___
Edit:

Welp, that's that. It did top $3m since Paypal money was counted separately:

QUOTE (http://en.wikipedia....iki/Wasteland_2)
The Kickstarter of Wasteland 2 ended 17th April, raising a total of $2,933,252 - augmented by an additional $107,152 in PayPal donations.

Looks like Fargo & co will be getting a few more designers, and releasing mod tools! rah.gif

The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition is out. I downloaded the update from Witcher 2 website and it's awesome. Definitely worth another playthrough with this update. It's huge. 10Gb!

Damn, if only I could get Steam working then I would be able to check if it was on there.

All past updates included. If I hadn't upgraded to a 25Mb connection a while back I'd probably be half-tempted to re-buy a boxed copy orly.gif ...But, yeah, I'll definitely be having two (Iorveth/Roche) more playthroughs of it soon.

icon14.gif Been itchin' for Botanicula and was meaning to try Samorost after recently learning it's also from the same greatly talented people behind Machinarium, Amanita Design. Dunno about Windosill/Kooky, but MO' GAMES YO.

It's recommended, not required, and even then that's the most optimal possibility. I think those specs are supposed to say "hey, if you have this kind of tech, we're offering you support for it." Basically, Max Payne 3 won't bottleneck on any currently available rig.

I'm curious as to why they made it for HL1 instead of HL2, but yeah it does look good.

Anyone know any good multiplayer survival zombie mods for HL2, other than Zombie Panic or Zombie Master?

Because the team that made it has a lot of experience coding for the Gold Source engine as opposed to Source. I've been playing the mod myself, and I'm impressed with it so far.

If you want to be a real dick, people are paying anywhere from thirty to sixty dollars for invites right now, as well as trading AAA titles on Steam like Skyrim or unusual hats/earbuds for TF2.

But that's if you want to be a dick. I would, if I was in your position.

One thing I've noticed with Valve games is that a lot of the sound effects are re-used on other games. Guns sounds I've noticed and on TF2, the dispenser noise is from Half-Life. I don't have a problem with it though.

RTS fans, behold: http://www.companyofheroes.com/ Russian text says "Briefing begins May 7th."

Been itchin' for this seemingly for ages now; the next proper chapter to one of the absolute greatest ever of the genre and PC gaming. So long as they keep the existing gameplay formulae with only relatively very minor and common sense improvements, the same or even better modding support, and just really manage a thoroughly worthy sequel.. needless to say, day-one purchase pre-order, comrade! user posted image
