QU3BED is an acquired taste.

The game rotates the cubes on it's own and it is rather tricky to get the positioning you want. If you try to work with the auto-flipping of the pieces though, you should be able to get the high score in no time.

What I tend to do is try to line up colours in colour-specific columns. Makes things a lot more organized.

I thought it was bullsh*t for them to make the qub3d game count towards 100% completion. Considering I am colorblind, the only way I beat it was to have a friend beside me and ask him if I was putting the right color into the blocks...

Make sure you are getting 'squares'. In other words, 2x2 grids are MUCH more valuable that 1x4 grids. When you clear a 2x2 grid, you will get a little battery looking thing start to fill up in the upper left hand corner. When it is full, you can press the A button (on 360 anyway) to clear two whole columns. It makes the endgame push to get over the high score much easier.

Well, to clarify, 1x4 or any variation of a 4/5/6 connection will give more actual points than a square creation. I think the squares are only worth 75 or 100 points.

The squares fill the "power" meter, and there are four "powers" that you can use, based on the four ABYX (360) buttons. I know there's a specific colour eliminator that clears the board of one colour, or the columns thing as previously mentioned. Not sure what the others do.

It's actually a brilliantly simple game. I'd rather QU3BED than a boringly easy game of darts.

PS- Pretty sure you can't knock Rockstar for not considering colorblindess when making the game. It's not exactly a common gripe.

I did it my third try. The first two times I was rushing it too much without a complete understanding of the game. Then the third time I took it slow and beat it with 12,000 points.

Colorblind people always complain about stuff in games making you choose colors. IMO catering to any and all physical handicaps would be like GTAIV dumbing it down to Wii style controller for people with only one arm. It's just not gonna happen.

Oh i know r* cant sit there and tweak the game to everyone with a disability. But every single game that has to do with destroying color blocks like this, have an option to turn on symbols to help us...so for r* to make a game that involves matching colors, and not including symbols is retarded. Afterall 1 in 12 people are colorblind. 8% of all men are colorblind....so thats quite alot of people in the same situation as me.

Lol, i'm colourblind too but IMO it's only a small part of the game so I'll either get a friend to do it or play it continuosly to beat it. That or complain my butt off tounge.gif

its a great game, but as for colour blind people, there is a simple way of catering for them, they could have put a symbol in the middle of the cubes too so that your matching symbols & colours. E.g blue cube is a star, red is a circle etc..
