f*ck Have Heart. Seriously, any band with a fanbase that cries at their shows can suck my dick. Bane and Terror are ill though.

Yeah I think that is a bit excessive. I don't even see why someone would cry at a hardcore show

wow, something i finally disagree with you on

A band can still be great even though some people in their crowd are gay.

there are f*ckheads at all concerts, everywhere. There are always upper middle class wiggers at hip hop shows. There are always overweight meathead metalheadz at thrash concerts. There are always middleaged punx wearing their vintage 80's denim vest with the Sex Pistols and Casualties patches on it at punk shows. And there are always kids crying at Have Heart shows. doesn't mean the band is lame, doesn't mean the fanbase is lame, it means the weepers are lame.

of course, if you also don't like the music than that's your prerogative. biggrin.gif I personally think they've really stepped up their sound and are filling Allegiance's place in that particular facet of hc.

all those bands are good; Down To Nothing are meh.

Listen to Go It Alone.

Alright, that came out wrong. By that reasoning I shouldn't have seen Lynyrd Skynyrd 4 times because of...well, most of the people at those shows. I shouldn't like Bane because they're pretty much responsible for bringing fat chicks into the scene. I guess some skinny ones too but yeah, I can deal with them.

Oh, and TYF is f*cking awesome.

Yeah Down to Nothing is alright, it was just a band that I thought of off the top of my head. I saw them back in march with Terror and Earth Crisis. F*cking awesome. Go It Alone is pretty good too. Vancouver, BC is blowing up, and I keep thinking its Vancouver, WA, and I think the band is local.

Have Heart is good people. A show happened in the only part of the area that has militant straight edge retards running amok at shows that Have Heart were playing at, even though they were mostly outnumbered the singer had some sh*t to say about the whole sh*tty attitude that crowd has. Pretty funny, as they were expecting pats on the back for beating people up at shows. Anyways, it was a good gesture.

This made me laugh the other day when I saw it: http://www.myspace.com/satanicthreat

Yeah, I've got nothing against the band themselves, but sh*t...

Oh, and I'm listening to that ON EP right now. It's the same tracks they had on their Myspace profile. I'm not sure if they're still up there or not though. If you haven't already, I suggest getting it or listening online.

What about post hardcore? You know, bands like Helmet, Jawbox, Quicksand, Seaweed, Therapy?

Pretty awesome. I love Quicksand. Iceburn, Into Another, all those awesome bands. Post hardcore to me is so great because everything is so original and broad. Sense Field doesn't sound like Iceburn, etc.

No because they remind me of In Flames aka f*cking dire. I'm not much of a Metal fan but I enjoy Ensiferum/Wintersun.

I just listened to Stout and they are pretty good. Not sure if I like the vocals as much, but the music is sweet
Top ten favorite bands are probably (not in order):
Champion
Bane
Have Heart (no, I don't cry when I listen to them)
Terror
First Blood
Betrayed
Guns Up!
Hoods
Mental
Verse

Well Bad Brains are the best ever, let me just get that out of the way. I'm not gonna make a top 10, but I dig TYF, Bane, EGH, Champion and Agnostic Front a lot. Other bands tend to come and go, but those seem to always stay.

Speaking of Verse, is their new album any good?

I'm surprised it took till the second page for Bad Brains to be mentioned.

EDIT:

it comes out the twentieth of June. the song The New Fury is up on they myspace.

I like it, and i bet the album will be great, but i dont dig how they're hyping it up as like some amazing advancement in hardcore songwriting. with sh*t like that, they're garunteeing a letdown. From Anger and Rage is killer.

it's impossible for me to name favorite hardcore bands, seeing as I like specific elements from a varied selection of modern and classic artists.. obviously i love the favorites; Ian MacKaye's projects, Brains, Black Flag, GB, DRI, AF, H20, Dag Nasty...etc.

Go It Alone are incredibly important to me in alotta ways, but this is for a multitude of reasons, and since I know members of the band, and my first hardcore show ever was their final concert, my opinions are biased as f*ck. Other than them I dig all Raincity HC, (Circles, Get the Most, Set Foot, In Stride, Reserve 34, Strain, A Crow's Glory, Keep It Clear, Hit The Bricks, Bodyguard), most NWHC, anything off of Rivalry or legitimatebros, Ceremony, Terror, Bane, Allegiance, and lotnlots of others. too many to name.

essentially stick me in any hardcore show and i'll be sound as a pound.

I can't believe you put Black Flag in a list with f*cktard bands such as Have Heart, and Guns Up!

When I think of Hardcore I think of MDC, Jerry's Kids, Double-O, Circle Jerks, Gang Green, The Freeze ect...
