Understand Jacob? Yes. Badman? Not a fcking clue

badman is a whole nother deal. Just pick out a couple key words from what he is saying, and remove all the "and ting"s he ads. Also ma youth = my boy

I understand very little of it and sometimes you can see Niko doesn't understand either. Some times he just answer oh yeah in that tone of voice you can tell he doesn't understand.

My buddy Chris came over and he's a rasta dude and he can understand almost all of it. He's a trip he does the same thing raggae songs. I say wtf did he just say and my buddy translates it. The next time I hear it I'm like oh yeah that is what he's saying.

If there's one dialect I absolutely love (apart from my own Broad Yorkshire dialect) it's the Jamaican or West Indian dialect. I love the sound of it, I love the words and the sentence structure. One of these days I may decide to study it - it is, after all, almost like a separate language.

He's speaking in slang language with a f*cking heavy accent, whether you are Jamaican or not... you have to know the slang to understand... if I studied that slang list long enough I could speak the same way little jacob does and watch "jamaicans" on the internet be dumbfounded and start googling sh*t like crazy.

Little Jacob yes. Badman, not so much. Can still understand some of it but yeah.. he's more difficult to understand. Live in London so you hear alot of heavy Jamaican accents in certain areas, lot of rich white kids use jamaican slang too so I'm used to all that.

I think I can pretty much understand it, gimme a sentence and I'll translate it.

Scene = "cool" or "you understand?"
Pon = "upon" or "at"
I and I = generally "me", "I" or "my", but sometimes meaning "we" or "us"
Fertilizer = "weed"
Breda = "brother", as in "mate" or "friend"
Wappin (I think) = "selling"

Dem wannabe's be wappin fertilizer pon I and I's corner mon! = Those wannabe dealers are selling their weed at my corner, man!

He always says 'Breda' too whatever that mean's and 'Seen', I have subtitles turned on and have to press start and go to the dialogue to make out what he is saying by reading it over and over...irritating and he talks too fast aswell.

breda means ''brother'' and seen means ''do you understand''

I love the way he talks and that but holy sh*t...that is some deep hybrid gangster talk.

I LoL'D at the fact that you think it's some type of Hybrid talking. Like Jamaican and British accents were joined together just yesterday.

I've talked to people from Brooklyn and I swear to god, most of the time I'm just saying, "yeah, ok" because I technically can't understand what they just said. Same with Jamaicans, especially those who follow the Rastafarian culture. Although I wouldn't consider Little Jacob a Rasta only because he's an arms dealer, which is a big no no in the Rastafarian culture.

@ Makavelli - You mean the term "brethren" which the Rasta's use for the word, brother.

People always say that when I speak Broad Yorkshire, but it's not exaggerated. I doubt Little Jacob's accent is exaggerated either, although use of heavy dialect might reflect a less cosmopolitan upbringing.

You should realize that brethren is the archaic plural of brother, as present in the Bible.
