Started a new game of it just yesterday, been a few months since I played it last. But it never strays too far, I always come back to San Andreas. Should definitely help kill the time faster till GTA V drops for sure. icon14.gif

I've been playing it for about 7 years, completed the storyline several times, I've also reached 100% once and did not get bored of it. I'm amazed how many things a game from 2004 has. icon14.gif

Got it two weeks after release in 2004 and have been playing it madly ever since. While I play III and VC (which I too got a few weeks after their release dates respectively) every few years again, I do play SA every year. The re-play value is immense and that is not even counting free roam!! I have been around since GTA2 and SA is my absolute favorite. I would love to have an idea of how many hours of my childhood/teenage years went into that alone.

i still do. don't get me wrong, GTA V is still an amazing beautiful fun game but i mostly just put most of my gaming hours into San Andreas due to it being on PC.  i also play some IV from time to time (mainly EFLC) and mod the crap out of that as well. but i'll most likely stop playing SA and IV for a while once V comes to PC or PS4. not looking for a huge flame war on which GTA game is better (they're all amazing games, i really can't compare any of them) just curious. :)

I started a new game three days ago. I have beaten the game so many times on both PS2 and PC but I have just completed it at 100% once on PC. I have installed Things To Do In San Andreas (I do not really consider it a mod anymore) and it clearly brings my nostalgia back! I consider it is the best game of all time. My only wish is that they release the pre-release version of it for its 10th anniversary but it won't happen. I still play this game from time to time when I am not studying. Sometimes I feel like I am the only one in the whole world who still plays it but I am glad seeing this topic. You guys gives me the will to play it again and again like I used to do.

I haven't played threw to storyline in a few years now, however before GTA V was released I spent a day or two playing every GTA as kind of a run up to GTA V's release. That was the last time I played the game.

How many of you are still playing the game?

It's 2015 and I'm one of these guys who are having fun with the game even 11 years after the release. Come on, I'm sure I'm not alone :turn:

Yeah, I play the PC version, now. PS2 kicked the bucket a while ago, but it's not biggie. I love the modding capabilities.

No, stopped going through the SA journey since 2011.

It was a memorable and unique experience, though.

C'mon, Is that even a question?
Yes, I still play GTA SA, and I will continue to play this masterpiece on PC with mods unless Rockstar creates another, better masterpiece that is x100 times better than SA, which I highly doubt.

I remember uninstalling GTA:San Andreas in 2007 to free more disk space(4GB was a lot, at least for me back then). Then I re-installed the game in late 2013 or early 2014. I remember playing it without studying for me important exams. I uninstalled it in late 2014 when changing my decade-old PC and then installed it again during early 2015 (I still had my saves). I played it about till April of this year, where I uninstalled it permanently for GTAV. I gave the game to a friend's friend. I was sad for some day, but playing GTA V made me forget about GTA:SA.

It was not my favourite GTA, it was not my fav. game, it had so many faults, yet it was a great experience playing it. I learnt lot of vulgar words and police brutality from it. But I prefered some other games over it, and the game didn't work well on my old machine, so I am not missing the game. But if I was given the game back, I would definitely play it with my old saves.

Of course people still play it!!

I'm in the middle of my 2nd playthrough of this game since 2007! Quite frankly I'm having a blast with it and realizing how such a masterpiece it was back then.

One of the greatest open world games ever created really.

GTA SA is the only GTA at this point that offers maximum fun and content with awesome mods that make this an evergreen title.
> Big, fat, single player
> NO Rockstar Social club headaches. Offline fun!
> Smaller install size ( compared to IV and V ), and tons of creative, open world potential.
> Offers a lot of features that are either absent / removed from HD GTAs

So yeah.
I can't imagine to ever stop playing this game

I frankly don't play San Andreas right now, it's been a while ho boy. Hey lil weasel, good to see you're still holding up the fort.

I haven't played game properly (well to completion) in a long time, I still have GTA V on my to do list, whoops. Don't even know why I'm back. My last three posts were in January, July and November last year! Brings a tear to my eye people are still willing to play this classic.
