We deff need a remake of GTA sanandreas...i miss many of the features from SA.

If we dont get a remake og SA or something.

FLORIDA xD find that motherf*cking lawyer fa**ot i cant remember the name of's house and bomb it xD

Or do Brazil or something. Go burn down the rainforest  biggrin.gif

Venezuela...i want Venezuela. Wait, Mercenaries 2 is doing Venezuela...awesome.

Well they wont be able to have the nice graphics, it took 4 years for this game. I wonder how long it will take to remodel the whole SA city^^

Not long, the engine is done. And SA is three cities.

Dublin...no offence but yaawn.

Well it's as boring as London, which a lot of people are suggesting. At least there'd be some sort of link to it (McReary's). London is pretty boring aswell, just a lot of grey buildings. suicidal.gif

Yeah, they have the new engine as the base now, next game won't take 4 years!

I'll be happy with the setting of vice city, Los santos or las venturas for next game. Imagine the las venturas strip at night in full HD wow.gif

How about a present-day Montreal? Montreal could make for a lot of very cool English/French culture-ish spinoffs.

If they want a historical twist to the game, how about a "grunge era" Seattle?

If they're looking towards Europe, perhaps Amsterdam? Come on, GTA V "Dijk City" would be freakin' amazin'!

However noone wants to see SA again lol.

San Andreas is arguably the best GTA to date

Arguably being the operative term; I didn't think much of it after I got thru playing it and it was the only one that once I'd completed the storyline, I didn't replay it again. The ONLY one. I replayed III at least twice in its entirety and VC I replayed 4 or 5 times and up until I got rid of the game and the PS2, I STILL would revisit from time to time just for the nostalgia.

Yea, VC FTW. 1987 to be precise. Or maybe 1980; I wouldn't mind playin thru Ricardo Diaz' rise to power, or Colonel Garcia maybe.

Hm...
I think it'd be pretty interesting if they combined Vice City, All of San andreas, and Liberty city. :]

Otherwise I think A new city of either Chicago, or St.Louis would be exciting.

Then you could go for a ride in the Gateway arch.. XD

If we have to visit an exisiting city, then I'm all for Vice City, the colorful look and feel of it all had me smiling all the way.

Vice City could work if they had returning characters, they have left many things un answered in vice city like what happend after 1986? It would be lame if they had completly new characters in vice city with no Vercetti, no old area's, no old gangs. I would like it to be based around 1992 or 93' with Tommy at the height of his criminal empire. But if they do what they did with GTA IV and change everything around like the story never happend then i would be dissapointed as that is the only thing i dont like about GTA IV.

As for setting it in Los Santo's that would be good, The 70's following the rise of the Ballas gang, Keeping it ghetto.

I can't see why not revisit VC .Yes some people get bored with revisting the same cities but if you look at this LC compared to GTAIII's or GTA LCS IV's it practically is a new city. I personally can't see a new city at this point as I am comfortable with the 3 franchised cities from the first game LC, VC, and SA(state). I personally want to have all these in one game and have the airports have use again to fly in between. However after all I have stated I am going to stick with this franchise wiether or not a new city is made I just love the games. I do support a new city but I am also a supporter of old cities.

R* needs to stop going back to old areas. They need to start fresh.
Honestly, that is the stupidest idea I've ever heard. VC was great. It's a lot of people's favorites. R* will go out and make a new Vice City, and people will just compare it to the old one. The old one will win, since everyone thinks it's so perfect already.

Just start out someplace new, and I'm happy.

As much as I'd like to see a fully 3D GTA London or to revisit 80's Vice City, you got me thinking, why go back in time? How about GTA:3012? Laser Guns, Lightsabres, Hover-cars, Hover-bikes, Hover-helicopters!  dontgetit.gif ..(K, maybe not..lol)

I like that idea. You can be as politically incorrect as you wanna be coz slicing someone with a lightsabre hasnt happened yet.

I like that idea, I think it could really work too. When I think of a future GTA using a full 3D world I think of The Fifth Element, ignoring the futuristic theme the movie did have a underlying bit of satire on society and the humor had that same sort feeling as Rockstar's stuff. The characters were reminiscent of Rockstar's stuff too.

& if they made it like a "Fifth Element" esque romp then just think, we'd get "height" thrown into the car chases, with maybe the option of diving down into the foggy slums to hide from zee feds.

& regarding the debate on who drives on the right/wrong side of the road.. Well.. did you buy a GTA to obey the law? Naww! devil.gif

Cosign, its a dumb ideal. If GTA is so revolutionary like people say it is, then its time to do a f*cking new city. You dudes are idiots for asking for the same sh*t, and arent forcing Rockstar to venture out. If you comfortable wit the same sh*t over and over again then thats all you will get. Put the pressure on Rockstar. I just dont think the people on GTAForums are progressive at all. They are like the old bums on the corner who keep talking bout "back in the day we did this and that." Like I say, f*ck the old, get wit the new.

Don't you guys think it would get boring for Rockstar to keep doing the same thing over and over? They probably want to experiment to keep things fresh and fun for themselves while programming the game.

Also, a lot of the ambiance and environment in Vice City was directly the result of it being set in the '80's. R* was able to play off all those themes and satirize it. Modern day Miami isn't really anything special compared to the '80's.

Rockstar also has the following names trademarked:
GTA: Tokyo
GTA: Bogota
GTA: Sin City
GTA: 5

Any of the above could be awesome if implemented correctly. They could also do a fictionalized overseas country that borrows aspects from surrounding countries, much like San Andreas took liberties with "California". You could have a country with different cities that resembled London (Big Ben, castles, The London Eye, the underground tube), an Amsterdam-like area with a sprawling red light district and legalized marijuana, maybe a France city (Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, The Louvre), and an Italian city (The Coliseum, an awesome Venice area with cramped streets and tons of waterways, The Leaning Tower). And you could have the ability to easily get between cities on the EuroRail.

Or if you want to go the Asian route, you make the protagonist a Yakuza member. You can have Tokyo (perfect modern-day equivalent in bright lights and neon in Vice City), you can add a China area with some open land and a Great Wall (imagine driving on this thing) and add in Beijing-type area for the city, and maybe even add a Russian type country to the north. There's a lot of potential in a game like this with the Asian culture. Tons of area for satire. Improved fighting system if your guy is versed in martial arts. And Yakuza members typically get full back/body tattoos as they increase in rank (there are your tattoo options!).

The problem with doing an overseas GTA though, is how do you implement language/accents? And how do you implement the radio? Both interesting questions that I'm sure Rockstar could create solutions to if they chose to go overseas.

The Sin City angle would also have a lot of potential. Go with a much improved Las Venturas-style city. Make it pretty much possible to enter every casino and hotel. Have all kinds of gambling mini-games (including sports betting with the option to watch the highlights of your games on the tv). Imagine a shootout in the inside of a casino. You knock over one of the poker tables and use it for cover...there are chips and cards flying everywhere as security opens fire on you. You could also create some cool ideas for the desert areas (illegal desert streetracing?). Maybe even take some liberties with the surrounding areas and add in the Grand Canyon?

There is a lot of potential and a lot of great ideas out there. I'm sure Rockstar will come up with a great one. Sure, they may want to go back and re-do a past city, but I bet they are really looking forward to experimenting and brainstorming lots of fun, unique ideas.

But if they're going to do Miami again it better be on the 80's biggrin.gif .

Like I said before, go back to Vice City. It doesn't have to look like the old one and it doesn't have to be in the 80s. Like they've done with the new Liberty City, they can do again with Vice City.

Yeah, but it would possibly be a 25 year leap. How do you think Vice City would look after 20 years? It would be interesting, but I would like something new, because the world offers so many good locations that could blend easily. I'm not anxious though, we have some time till the next is made lol.

I still don't understand why English people do that, its not that I got something against English people or something, I have many mates that come from England, I just don't like it.

VICE CITY FTW!

You f*cking morons drive on the wrong side of the road, not us brits. We invented the raod mate so go f*ck the statue of happiness!

Technically chances are that roads were invented way before England was properly colonized...

And considering how, in Italy, they drive on the right side of the road, that probably means that the Romans did too, and I'm confident that the Romans were around before you dumbsh*t brits.

(Rome is said to have been founded in 700-ish BC, while my sources state that Britain was founded around 1000AD)

Also, I do think that Sithis88's post was pretty uncalled for. Anyone with half of a brain can manage to drive on the left-hand side of the road (I'm ace at driving on the left hand side in Tokyo for Midnight Club 3).

About a quarter of the world drives on the left, and the countries that do are mostly old British colonies. This strange quirk perplexes the rest of the world; but there is a perfectly good reason.

In the past, almost everybody travelled on the left side of the road because that was the most sensible option for feudal, violent societies. Since most people are right-handed, swordsmen preferred to keep to the left in order to have their right arm nearer to an opponent and their scabbard further from him. Moreover, it reduced the chance of the scabbard (worn on the left) hitting other people.

Furthermore, a right-handed person finds it easier to mount a horse from the left side of the horse, and it would be very difficult to do otherwise if wearing a sword (which would be worn on the left). It is safer to mount and dismount towards the side of the road, rather than in the middle of traffic, so if one mounts on the left, then the horse should be ridden on the left side of the road.
