I'm not sure if this was already posted or not, but I only just noticed something which I thought was pretty cool. When ever I pressed Y (Triangle on PS3) to get out the car, Niko would always leave the engine on and the radio, and I don't know why but it always bugged me. However, when ever I hold Y instead of tap it, I hear him putting the hand brake off, turns the engine off and gets out, and if you get back in, Niko has to turn the engine on again.

Like I said, I don't know if this was already posted or if we was told how to do it in the game and I just totally missed it.

Isn't that because he is hot wiring it?

Read the first post lol, it's because the car is switched of, and the handbrake on.

Indeed. I've heard speculation that holding Y also locks the doors and makes "disappearances" of your vehicles less likely, but I've yet to test it. It definitely pays to leave the engine running if you want a fast getaway, though.

Read the third post "lol". The OP made that comment. Do you really think that the OP didn't read his own post? Since he wrote it, I'd assume so tounge.gif

Anyway, the question is valid.

It's not because of hotwiring, because it doesn't happen with every car. Some cars, even hotwired one, turn right over. Others chug along like an old pickup truck, vweeew-vweeew-vweew a few times before starting. It seems to be random to me.

Yes, but did you also know that if a car stalls and wont start you can call 911 it starts right back up?

Just found out something else too, as you know if you steal a motorbike while someone is on it, you don't get a helmet, even if you get off and get back on again. Although, if you hold Y (Triangle on PS3) to turn the engine off when getting off, when you get back on you'll get a helmet.

You can also leave a car's door open when getting out by holding the directional button in the opposite direction. To close it again just walk into the door.

Drive a car onto a boat loading ramp and have it half submerged and the radio will begin to make static noises and the sounds of it short circuiting. Also, when you try to start up the car while it's still half submerged, it will have a really hard time starting because of the engine being flooded. I found this to be pretty cool.

Thanks, I'm glad you posted this or I would have always left my car running, and gas is expensive! biggrin.gif But seriously I'm glad you did, it kind of bugs me, too.

nice, didn't know this. I love the way the little inside light comes on when the door is open (on some cars anyway)
