Most people seem to be going for the classic 'sports car' choice when it comes to choosing their fave our thiefing a car i the game but my persoanl fave is the Futo which im very sure along with others is based on the Toyota AE86 Levin/Corrola/Trueno which seems to have got its fame from the film Initial D (epic film, you must see it). Anyway, as soon as i saw it in SP mode i actually had a fit. Not only does it LOOK like a Trueno but it handles just like a finely tuned Trueno should, it drifts like a bi*ch and is pretty fast at that.

Dont underestimate its 'shoddy' look:

Yeah I like it too, much easier to drive than a lot of the supercars that just seem to spin away half of their power in the lower gears.

Yes.

Film

Initial D starring Jay Chou etc etc. Amazing moutain drifting film based on the Manga/Anime series.

Seeing as people are posting:

If you like to drive (and drift) in the Futo then hook me up with your Gamertag and we can race or something, i can never find anyone fun to race on freeroam they jus take me as some kind of threat and shoot me and steal my precious Futo.

My gamertag is in my signature.

Peace.

EDIT: Its known as the Levin over here in the West and reffered to the Trueno in other areas.

Search AE86 Trueno and see what comes up.. tounge2.gif

They are quite common, although there is ANOTHER car that looks similar but isnt as good.

Easy way to spot them is to look for the red text at the bottom of the car.

They drive like a beast, i was drifitng round the airport having a blast of a time.

Looks like the Blista compact to me?

Is the Futo a different car?

Cause I'm a pretty big fan of the blista, despite its shoddy appearance.

The Blista happens to be in my Top 5 also.

If i cant find a Futo, then a Blista will do.

Like i said, the Futos are smaller and have the red text along the black strip at the bottom.

And BC's having a bigger back window.

If you damage the car hard enough for the bonnet to fly open, ull notice a set of Throttle Bodies on the engine block, Classic tuning

Lucky!

I want one so bad but they cost a fair bit dont they?

I start my driving tests soon confused.gif and £4k(AE86 on ebay motors) for a car now is a bit 'ergh'.

Yeah I quite like this, but usually disregarded it for (as you mentioned) the unoriginal sports cars.

Quite like the Ruiner, too. icon14.gif

Did you guys relize the term "Futo" is "tofu" spelled backwards?

And that the Futo has a 20 Valve silver-top in it?

That there's a GT version with a carbon fiber hood and new body kit and roll cage?

And the side decals really are the specs of the car and not just eye-candy?

Awesome.

You're wrong there..

Trueno is the pop up light model. Levin has 'normal' lights.

Back on topic though, this is my favorite car..
Amazing fun in the wet..

Not 'tofu', unfortunately. nervous.gif
