So how many people here crashed because they were busy reading what Little Jacob said or because they were reading a text message?

Personally I think I slammed into other cars / objects 3-4 times so far because I was reading text messages. No wonder hands free is mandatory in most countries by now ^^

Hey man, don't phone and drive.

It's getting as bad as drink driving.
And sleep driving.

Does anyone know if the police chase you for been on the phone whilst driving?

I ask because I answered a call, drove past the police and they chased me! I don't think I did anything wrong, except for been on the phone of course.

No, since they don't mind you flying past at 100mph either

Yeah I tend to pull over if I'm reading a text message but I can carry on driving just fine when I'm taking a call. Obviously I never take calls or do anything other than driving in real life but it's cool to have the phone.

If I want or need to call someone though I'll usually just carry on driving along, but it's bloody difficult...like people above have said, no wonder it's illegal in most countries! lol.gif

That's why my car has a built in phone smile.gif

But yeah, I've crashed a few times whilst reading texts in GTA. Heck, I even crashed whilst trying to phone for the paramedics to come help me out - hit a concrete pillar, went through the windscreen and died a few hundred yards down the road. This game is f'ing awesome.

Studies have shown in many cases driving on the phone is more dangerous than driving drunk.

Ya MADD will never get it rated AO or they'd be counter sued for ignoring the disclaimer and sobataging the franchise.

I wonder how can you sleep drive.

You can sleep while driving, but sleep driving, that's awesome.
