|I would agree, In the beginning the ability given is low but it will increase as the game goes on. Targeting is the key to a successful fight! Have you had to protect Rome yet? (Basketball court)|
I have and I'm still struggling. I keep targeting on the whole time but it really is difficult, especially when taking on multiple people at once. I suppose that's realistic

|The easiest thing to do is once your locked on him and you get a good combo, he'll usually back up some. Throw a kick if he is distant to you, then move in for the kill. You can usually start hitting him before he hits you.|
Yuhuh, I normally throw a punch do the (Y) combo 3 hits and then kick him, by now the target is normally on the floor, once punch down and lights out!

Plus, I prefer every fight is a struggle, makes it interesting. And the baseball bat has a tonne of weight to it.
This game f*cking kicks ass >_>

in the next story fight after the one in the basktball court. your fighting this guy in a room, if you back him up to the window you can kick or punch him out of it, which finishes him off, or at least it did when i done it.
Also, i haven't found it too hard to beat guys up but if you are struggling you can also use triangle (PS3) for an alternative melee and X should block or dodge if you time it right.
