I work at PC world, out of hours. I sort the deliveries out and put stock out onto the shop floor etc... We should be getting the GTA4 delivery either today or thursday. I don't start work till 7 tonight (bst) and finish at 11. If we get it in today I will post pics when I get in from work. Man I will be so tempted to nick a copy but I don't wana risk my job. (If anyone I work with/for reads this IT WAS A JOKE) lol.

You only have to be 15 to buy GTA 4 in Australia? I thought ratings were usually harsher there.

we don't have an R-18 for games.. we should but we don't.
we have games banned / censored / edited such as gta4 just to suit our sh*tty classification system .

Thats the highest rating a video game can get here.

If gore/violence/sexual references > MA15+ then it has to be censored or possibly banned. Its stupid, entertaintment as a whole should use and equal and same scale system of ratings. Video games like movies are both forms of entertainment, and should both follow the same ratings.

All our system does is get kids access to the game earlier since theres no 18+ rating...

If I worked at gamestop and wasn't a manager I would just grab one and take it to my car on my lunch break.

Gamestop pays crappy so the job isn't really important and if you were to get caught you could probably get it dropped to theft under $50 which is a class c misdemeanor that you can get differed and then sealed later if it were to even come to that.

Id for sure steal the game if I had easy access to it 5 days before it's release.

Yeah, but we get the censored version of all the violent games, and we don't even get some games.

all the boxes are sealed and have big stickers saying 'do not open before 29th' etc.
taketwo will f*ck you up if they catch a retail store breaking release.

I just thought - would you have to steal it? Just buy it from them if you work there. Give the manager your money then get him to put it through the till on release day.

Yes alot of people in the shops does that... People will be playing the game when it arrives (i know a guy in local game store and he takes them all the time before release but no gta here yet)

The shops around me have it in stock, too.
I tried convincing a guy to sell me it today. I almost got away with it, but his intentions were just to tease me up a little.

I checked it out, but he didn't let me walk off with it.
And no, I wasn't stupid enough to take off with it.

Oh well, I'll be back there soon to try again, otherwise, only six days max and it'll be mine.

When I go into the city tomorrow, I'm going to my old local shop.. I might be able to score some playtime there.
I know you guys probably won't believe me if I do manage to give it a go, so I won't bother posting a thread.
