Also got Nova Launcher, which is awesome, got a black theme, so everything is black. Even my plastic case is black (my phone's blue, though, but you can't see it). Sometimes a software upgrade is all you need.

Paired up with Zooper widget, the amount of customisation you can get for the interface is amazing, not forgetting all the nice icon packs out there. A good homescreen is nice to have, although to get the most you'd need to buy both of them which comes to ~£4, so you'd have to be willing to pay that for what is essentially making a nice homescreen and interface.

The G2 constantly over heats and even though I'm in love with it's camera, it has to go. Not sure if it happens to Andreas' device, though. Maybe it's just a defect. I dunno :/

It doesn't seem to happen to my phone. Yes, it gets hot when I'm using it a lot, even more so when I'm running 3D apps for a longer period, but it's reasonable. It happened only once so far that my G2 became really hot, and that was when I was charging the battery while playing San Andreas. But I think that would be the case with all phones, as it's generally not recommended to do this.

What's Zooper?

I actually bought Nova Launcher Prime just today. Now I have notification counters on apps. Not as cool as I had hoped. Once I remove the notification from the drawer, but not view it in app, it removes the counter on the app icon. But, eh, whatever.

Well, if I were to play San Andreas on low settings on my G2, it would feel like a stove top :p As for launchers, I just use the Google Now Launcher. I used Inspire Launcher before, but I got bored of it.

Let's you create custom widgets, with very in depth customisation. Things like clocks, battery, weather, network connection displayed on the home screen, as well as photos and the like.  A similar app is UCCW, which is simpler to use but has less customisation.

Gaming setup is really taking shape now. In fact I'm almost finished.

All that I want to upgrade now it my PC, and it'll be perfect for me.

Installed my mood lighting yesterday. Comes with a control with 12 colours. Can make them fade to different colours, strobe, flash and dim:

Weird. That never happens to me. I'm using the Tesla Unread plugin for notification counter.

Well, it happens for Snapchat, which it doesn't directly support, I guess, because it watches the notification drawer for those apps I select in the settings. So, it's actually not surprising at all.

Oh, that's understandable then. I don't use Snapchat anyways.

I've p much turned my S5 into a Nexus 5.

Replaced Touchwiz with Novalauncher, replaced messenger with Hangouts and put Google camera on there.

The Samsung software is very ordinary and underwhelming. I'll be either getting an iPhone6 or Nexus6 at the end of the year.

Nova Launcher is the best launcher yet. TouchWiz is just too boring. I wonder why Samsung doesn't use the Android stock launcher like HTC. Samsung always modifies the launcher too much.

ew.

why?

when I'm locked into a gaming session, I just turn off the lights.

but different colors? that would just be annoying.

ew.
why?

Because it's AWESOME.

Having a pitch black room and staring at a screen is more off putting to me than these lights will ever be.

It is actually a really nice, soft light. And it sets the mood so well.

This photo shows more how the lights look when I'm sitting in my chair:

LittleBlue, I love the lighting scene you got going on there. Looks really cool, but can you turn the colors to white?

It is almost midnight here and school is starting tomorrow. I have been trying to fix my sleeping schedule for the past two weeks but I failed to do so because, well, I'm lazy and for me there is always something to do that keeps me awake. The same story every year and knowing myself, I will be tired as f*ck tomorrow and sleep for a couple of hours during the day, and that on a daily basis for the next couple of weeks or so.

It didn't even start yet and I already hate it.

...

just set a time; like 11PM, and turn off your computer.

every night. just stop what you're doing and turn it off.

too many bright lights. too much connectivity. not enough time for your brainwaves to go flat.

just walk away. go get ready for bed, then get in bed, watch some TV, listen to some music.

you gotta' unplug or you'll set up on a bad pattern as an adult.

suddenly hating school will mean hating work which will mean hating your life.

I've tried that kind of thing before. For example, a few days of stopping use of electronics at around 8, then getting to bed at 9-10 - but I'd just stay in bed, unable to sleep until around 2am. For some reason I find it hard to just sleep before midnight, and it doesn't matter if time flies by binge watching Utopia until after midnight, packing up shop at 11 or flopping into bed after a day's work in the garden at sundown - I just seem to be bad at sleeping. Not to mention feeling tired no matter how much sleep I get, or the rare time I get to sleep at a non-insane hour and then just waking up at 4, 6, 7:30 and waking up 'for realz this time' at 10. I feel like my body just really hates the idea of sleep.

Still, I manage the 6:45 start for school, often waking up 10 minutes before my alarm. I only really feel the effects in last period...

Wow, I totally forgot about flux. I used to have it before but ever since I downgraded to Windows 7, then upgraded back up to 8.1, it left my mind.

I've used flux for ages and damn is it useful - though I wish the transition was less sudden. I went into the settings and you can make it either over 20s or 60m. Whoops...

Well, now flux is perfect. Get it, people.

My room mates used to hate on it mercilessly, the only time I would take it off was when my lappy was plugged into the telly to watch something that had been downloaded.

I sleep better than all of them.

Flux is cool and all.

but it's still no excuse for some decent, personal, discipline.

you'll find it easier to sleep as you get older, get a real job, etc etc.

I can see why it's difficult for young people/still in school to get a consistent sleep pattern down, but that's just part of being a young person.
