Did you mod the game? Col errors will start happening when you rebuild the img archive more than three times total. No idea why that happens though...

However, there are cols in the game that are poorly done, mainly the inclined palm trees.

I love the little touches you added to San Andreas. If possible do you think you can prelight the cars Rockstar forgot to do? Or if this has been done before please point me in the right direction.

just need change car uvmap setting from 2 to 4. turn.gif

im about half way done making smoke for chimneys, the process is pretty fast

After looking into effects.fxp (which has been a mystery up till recently) Ive finished
the smoke effects smile.gif Made puffy and trailing types for the chimneys. All in all well
worth the few days going through things indepth.

Also made few changes to most effects incressing their visual range, you can view
the puffing cow from a good distance now for example. The only issue using this
outside my pc is if you prefer a particle effect mod by someone else out there

On the Vice side moonlight hotel day & night issues are nealry all done, the day
method to get sign text properly alpha'd is still wip and a bit fugly :

It may still be a WIP, but it's certainly better then the original.

Absolutely awesome set of additions to the game, they should have been in the stock release, I reccommend these to anyone who has the game!

Now if only somebody could fix the lighthouse on santa maria beach in law2 so it works properly, the anim file law2.ifp doesnt seem to work with the lighthouse object.

  • Fixed: all animated fans, their vertex colour and textures
  • Fixed: plant placement in room
  • Added: fan reflections to recption

Note: ipl & dff bugs squashed.
Now you can see missing fans in ocean hotel just
like the ps2 version plus we get added reflections

Ext. DAY .dff
  • removed: animated fans (used in ide)
  • Fixed: single sided faces
  • Fixed: UV mapping
  • Fixed: minor flickering issue on one texture
  • Todo: collision
  • Todo: filled doorway shadow gap (unused)

  • Fixed: A coronastar was incorrectly set to use radius & size when it should be just dusty

The ocean view collision bugs are turning out to be a bit of a saga
removing night-time .dff collision fixes the seethrough places but any
modifications to the two in oceandrv.col produce no difference sneaky2.gif

Wow R* left lots of bugs in VC biggrin.gif . Are you placing the cols in you img? Becouse the game loads cols from the img , not from the maps folder!

looking at the ps2 version yesterday noticing its map cols were
inside the img only..weird to me! guess thought the pc would
read them outside tounge.gif
