noone.1, the Taxi Glitch is caused by flying off the map. You have a stray 01 where a 00 should be that is preventing the game from finding the SAN_AND zone. This glitch would also explain why you may be having difficulties with other zones. Stray 01s similar to the Taxi Glitch don't usually get noticed, but if you pay attention to the zone names displayed when CJ enters a zone, or possibly on the main map, the wrong zone name is displayed - usually the county below. I'm afraid there is no fix for this short of manually editing the save with a hex editor.

ric-013, I did not write the savegame editor and cannot change the features. I edit the save file directly with a program that lets me see and alter the hex codes. My role in this process was to make experimental changes that helped me document the save structure in enough detail that you could make cheat codes and Paul could add gang wars to his editor.

Ok, resarted and now I do win territories in San Fierro but they don't really turn green but my peep show up there, is that normal?

I think it only does not turn green if I win it from the ballas

i was under the impression that you wanted improved that tool...sorry if i missunderstood.

if you used territory glitch v.1, the territory's are over-lapping on each other,there are huge zone for entire city's/county's and their color will affect the smaller ones into it...use v.2 if you dont want any color overlap.

yes they will,

the huge zones are:

"LA" = LOS SANTOS
"VE" = LAS VENTURAS
"BONE" = BONE COUNTY
"ROBAD" = TIERRA ROBADA
"ROBAD1" = TIERRA ROBADA (south) i dont remember the in game name.
"SF" = SAN FIERRO
"RED" = RED COUNTY
"FLINTC" = FLINT COUNTY
"WHET" = WHETSTONE

you should take them first...look at the PDESCOBAR map (link in my 1st post) to locate the area's where you can take-over thoses, but the best way (in game) is to look at the area name that appear at the bottom of the screen when you enter a zone,when the name pop's up,your in the right place.most likely you wont find any gang members in thoses huge zone ...there are many tricks to attract gang members there,the easy-way is to go to any smaller territory with gangs and punch a least 3 ballas/vagos to follow you into the huge zones and kill them there...your war is started.

keep in mind that when youll take over any of thoses,green color will overlap on all the territory's into it.

"LIND3","LIND4a","WWE1" and "LDT8" were left-out becuz of that...thanks to NOONE.1, i wanted to take-over "LDT8" ( see his posts ) and it was not there, than i knew something was wrong...so this misstake made me tought there was only 379 of them...im so sorry.

now, i will have to edit the condenced codes:

BTW, ill edit all my posts with the corrections in a few days.

but the territory glitch edit wont be to any use to thoses who already used the code and started to take-over somes territory's, cuz re-using the edited code would make you lose the already taken territory's...so i made a fix code for you guys, AGAIN, im really sorry !!!!!!!!

Note about type flag 0x20 (gang cars or peds): This flag will be set or unset by the game depending on the gang density. Ignoring this value should bring the same results. However, it does help to know what the flag indicates when reading existing values.

Ric this might be asking alot but i think i remember reading a year ago that you can change how some gangs percieve you. For instance The Aztecas are neutral until you start shooting on there turf etc. well aparantly theres a way to turn them to allies by changing some things i know you can do it on PC version but if you could do it with the PS2 version it would be cool to have the Mafia, Triads, Aztecas & Rifa as allies.

i could look for thoses...but i miss some info's to do so:

hate = ?? hex digit

cuz,when i look at the dump its only numbers...and i have at least to know what value im looking for.right now im looking for "time of the day/week gangs spawn" and even if i have all the digits value for them, they are still hard to find.

but ill take a look...and ask a few ppl.

Great! We are working on a similar project. Help me figure out how to repair the Madd Dogg Glitch and I'll see if I can figure out how to control your gang allies at the same time. This information is in the same block so everything applies fairly directly. The likes and dislike flags are a little awkward to work with, but we should be able to work with the Triad as an example for the other allies.

ok,you gave me enuff to start,ill make a few savedumps at "in the beginnings" and try to locate the ram adresses for thoses "default values"...but dont be too hurry,cuz im still playing GTA4 alot and it takes alot of my freetime.that said,i still put some time in SA,and that seems like a good challenge + its still in the "gang-war" theme that i like so much.

Thats what i ment OrionSR good job!. Seriously though with this you could probably acctually have allies it would make doing drivebys with other gangs so much easier least they won't shoot at grove anymore.

Hey ric. Any chance I can talk you into sending a couple of savedumps my way? Something from the beginning, but also something with gang wars active and a turf or two taken over so I can hunt for the Gang Wars enabled flag. I've been applying what I've learned about save file editing to creating new cheats. Last night I came up with codes for Fireproof, Fast Reload, setting Max Armor to 250, Basketballs enabled (before the Tagging mission), Basketball Glitch Fix, and adding and reassigning custom plates. However, I'm somewhat limited in what I can do without a better reference on the memory addresses.

sadly, i was never able to run it...its either my lack of knowledge or my lame cpu being too old,when ill buy my new pc in a couple month ill try it again...for now,i use the old-fashion way,cheatdevice+dumpcode+8mb memcard...so i do 7mb dumps each times,it takes 5 dumps to get the whole 32mb.thoses files i add-up togther in "ps2dis" dissasembler tool.

the codes in this topic only works on version 1 ntsc/pal...i had plans to port it to other versions but i wasnt able to get the info's needed to do it myself.after looking around a bit,i saw that most of codes were made for v1 and very little of them made it to other versions...i dont know why,but i get the feeling it was alot of troubles to do so.

Where? I can't find a decent database that looks like it's being updated. Nothing listed Fireproof, and Faster reload looks like it's messing with the animation timing. The code I suggested should be the same as earning "Fast Reload" in Vice City, but it only works on rifles and rockets. The custom plate codes I've seen allow the user to change the plates on the standard 11 plated vehicle. The codes I offered add 4 new plates to 4 different cars. The same strategy can be applied to assigned standard plates to other vehicles.

Thanks for the link to PCSX2, but I've got a copy running already. It doesn't work very well on my machine. I can manage to run a few steps and save, but that's about it. However, this might be enough for the task at hand. I'll check it out. In the meantime, a decent code list to work from would certainly help. I'd hate to waste the effort.

How to work this code ..
basically u are spelling the name Backwards..
u may look at it and go what to L1 L2 and all that stand
them are the letters as in the first letter u want in your name will be in L1 and so on

nice work i know this completely off topic but could you make a 100% completion code with the stuff you learnt??? because i could do the game but in order to keep interiors like the Crack Den, Gang House, Pleasure Domes, Abatoir & Planning Department open i had to skip some missions.

this is off-scale for me...its just too huge for my skills.

but aint the "open all interior" glitch ( do jet-pak buttons cheat during intro 3rd cut-scene...when cj is in tenpenny police car) open all those interior ??

I might be able to help you out with reopening some of those mission interiors. I've already worked out how to unlock a save house. However, this doesn't seem like the appropriate topic for this discussion.

@rik, I'm starting to come up to speed on this cheat creation process. PCSX2 is working out well enough to get a decent save dump (uncompress the save state with WinRAR or 7-Zip). It looks like the Ped Acquaintance structure is very similar between the dump and the save so changing the values should be fairly straight forward if you can figure out the settings.

i already figured the settings....i posted them on page 4 yesterday.

I got the First version cuz I had it b4 the greatest hits one canme out and I dnt have the one with the sunday driver DVD.

I dnt kno which code it uses for the game shark I got the V2 one

And will it work when I complete the game cuz im almost done with it suicidal.gif

Yes, I noticed that. However, I was thinking ahead to the settings that have been tested and actually do what you intended. Knowing how to set the zones for gang wars doesn't mean I know how I want to set them; that sort of thing. Anyway, good work, and nicely reported for this context.

Madd Dogg is CivMale. Denise, Catalina etc. are defined as CivFemale in the mission scripts. The other changes are to the Dealer - he shoots his customers, and no observable influences have been noticed for Bums, Firefighters, or Paramedics other than the altered bytes in the save files. I'll try to work something up for this glitch since I already know which settings I want enabled, and you can use that as a template for the Ally Codes.

PEDSTATS I don't think this will be a problem as the information is read from disc and not cached in the save file. However, I'm fairly certain I saw some codes to alter this information if for some reason you wanted to play around with it. For now, I think this can safely be ignored, but let's keep an eye on these stats when someone is testing the code against their glitch.

We may want to move some of this discussion someplace else, and the main cheat thread isn't all that usable in it's current form, so I'll put some thoughts into outlining my current projects and see if we can recruit some testers and version conversions for the codes in different formats. It would really help if we could recruit an experienced cheat code creator that could help me skip over some of the beginning mistakes and help out with some of the conditional coding.

I think I made some progress on figuring out the Ped Acquaintance data, but my test code causes the game to crash as soon the the spray can starts to paint the yellow Rockstar spash. I tried a conditional test but AR Max won't take it. Something about the master code but I don't understand it at all.

ill test the raw version for you and see what happen....about the master code thing,i remember that the "water lvl mod" code only work with somes master code.it has to do with the first # of the (M)code (conditional/unconditional) but some armax versions have (m) codes issues...they made a fix for it,maybe thats the problem...all info's youll need can be found here:

i never tryed it...omniconvert is a new program, i just got it 2 weeks ago and when i read it was possible to do this,i tought i would be good for someone who has lots of codes to get in...me,i manualy inputed them for years,lately the only ones i entered were my own test codes...

or you can use omniconvert (link in one of my previous post above) to encrypt raw code

also when using some versions of GS...codes wont work if you dont save them first...when your done entering the code, (M) code or any other codes,press start,it will say you have no cheat on ( selected ) and will ask if you want to save,save it...now your newly entered code is saved on your memcard and ready to use.

yes...and the code should work at any point in storyline...you should always be able to see the changes in gangs stats, but the territory's cant be seen on map between "green sabre" and "home coming" mission unless you use one of ORIONSR codes to enable gang-war

sorry about that OrionSR i know its a lil off topic. Its good having the interiors open but it just sucks ass that i now can't get that particular save to 100%.
