Sucks about the clutch man!
Glad to see you got some performance related mods for it! Hopefully you can get it up and running soon icon14.gif icon14.gif

I may just borrow some money so I can buy the clutch, then I can have it up and running within a week.

However, until then, I decided to try the suspension. Looks like I need to adjust the ride height!

Yeah, the car is tid too low I'd raise it a hair or two.

But, those are some nice coilovers you got there my friend, how's the ride? Is it more mine cart like with those? I had some Tein's on an RSX a while back, I could not tell the differance in how smooth the ride is. Other people told me coilovers gave them a bumpy ass ride.

Car looks good. cool.gif

Unless I get some camber action going and roll the fender, it can't go any lower. I just raised it up tonight (adjustment is a pain in the ass) so I can fit two fingers between the body and the tire.

Fronts going on tomorrow!

Nice wheels. When are you planning to swap?

(also a vid of your car would be nice too)

Been about 3 months since my last update, I'm not dead. Things have been moving very slow lately, but today I got my TME bumper in the mail. Might put it on next week. Nice thing is it has a removable front splitter, so I can keep it off during Winter.

Next update will likely be Brembo brakes all around (4-pots up front, 2-pots in rear) and the Evo 9 wheels. Waiting on some more funds and then I'll be waiting on shipping from the UK for proper steering knuckles.

Well...

Wont you need to change the fenders as well though?

EDIT:
Yummy!

Wow, the exterior is so close to complete. Many props for not giving up on the project.

Considering how much you seem to be struggling: do you even get the EVO in the US? Here one seems to get written off every five minutes.

Can't wait to see how it all comes together with the addition of the new front bumper.

It's looking great I have to say. Needs those rear arches doing though, badly!

Yeah still trying to figure out the best way to mount the arches. The ones on the rear panels, no problem. It's just mounting the door ones that will be difficult. In the meantime, some new goodies:

cookie.gif Excellent. Coming very close to your signature Evo. biggrin.gif

Do you think you should put a Mitsubishi logo on the grille to make it to look more convincing? Are you going to paint the grilles in the rear bumpers black?

Yes I plan on painting the bumpers black. Then after the engine is complete, I'll respray the entire car with the actual Evo 6 paint code. And about the grille, I actually had a Mitsu emblem laying around that I was going to mount, but it has gone missing. I have some other badges though, hehe.

Here is a pic with the amber corners installed. I sold the rear fog light because I realized I didn't want to cut up my bumper.

Surprisingly, it looks better with orange indicators: considering most people go in the other direction. I assume they never came with the US Lancer/Mirage hence the import. Sorry if you've already said, but any plans for side-skirts?

This inspired me to try and install them. It was a complete pain, let alone an intense physical challenge, but I got one on. Pictures tomorrow.
