It really saddens me how odd the course of this mod has become...i mean back in the day i would come here every week to hapilly check for updates...now i come here from month to month to read a lot of people asking if its dead...i was really hoping for this mod to suceed sad.gif

Well as most would know the new Futurama season started so i'm devoting my time to improving my "art" skills and as some would know I'm attempting to move out of home.

It must suck to be not me.

As I have much experience in GTA Vice, I am offering you my help with this mod if you need it. My area of expercy is mostly textures and mapping, converting SA to VC, etc... Only thing that is alien to me is exe itslef.

Mod developing discussion is not a spam as it is directly connected with the release of Ped Rising. If we make this thread active, more people will come and generally the team might build itself an enthusiasm for contiuning with the work.

You should definitly release a beta. People will loose intrest and it would be realy good for the mod incase you get bord with it and all the hard work goes to wast. Thats why people release beta's. Just freindly advice. smile.gif

I'm gonna add to this topic to let you all know that really there is no point in my continuing this mod.

But I also wanted to call to peoples attention that Dead Rising 2 Off The Record modding is really taking off and we are able to extract models from Dead Rising 1.

So that's all. No point trying to basically re-create a game on an old as balls engine when we can now convert the game maps I wanted to emulate into an engine that was pretty much made for it.

I know they don't support conversions from other games over here but nothing really wrong with showing it off.

Why the heck won't you release if you are dropping the project? It looks absolutely amazing. You honestly should release it. If it is being scrapped, I see no reason why not to release. Do not let something so amazing go to waste.

 

EDIT: Also, you know about that script for GTA IV that turns it into a zombie apocalypse? That would be amazing on this map. I like the little touch where the script uses the vehicle paths to spawn abandoned cars.

I would not worry. If it is, someone else will probably want to fix it.

 

Edit: I watched both of your Youtube videos of the mod.

 

The version shown in part 1 looks great. I agree with you that the graphics are a little dated, but it still looks very neat. I think it looks like a lot of fun. I would have a lot of fun playing it. It also was kinda a walk down memory lane, especially when you went into the Next Gen video game store. Really reminded me of back when Xbox 360 and Play Station 3 were new, and all the references were great. If you upload the version from part 1, I will look foreword to playing it. I liked all the easter eggs it had.

 

For the version shown in part 2, I'd release it as well encase somebody wants to continue it or something. I assume you were trying to remake everything from scratch so it could be better, and decided to give up on it (like the unfinished map or the zombies being VC peds). But I see potential. If someone wanted, they could continue it (along with giving you credit).

 

I understand why you don't want to release it, but those reasons are actually why I think you should release it. From what I understand, you don't want to release it because the same idea can be made better on Dead Rising 2, with the original Dead Rising models and textures. You don't see a point in the VC mod Ped Rising because you feel that the texturing is bad, the modeling isn't the greatest, and the VC engine has outdated graphics and physics.

 

Not saying you should continue it, but you should release it. The reason why is it feels retro (When I say retro, I mean a  very late 1990's, early 2000's 3D video game). It reminds me of the days when VC was new and graphics didn't have all the shaders, physics, high quality models and texutres. This makes it fun in a different way. It looks fun and interesting to see something in this fashion.

Can we have a release of some sort or a lock please? It's insane. I have checked this topic dozens of times. With the authors attitude in mind something should have happened bow almost 10 years.

Come on man. Your smart but your going to fall into that 99% of gta TC modders who create LOADS of content and in the end it's essentially incomplete? Sucks :/

Leave it. This mod is dead. They should lock this topic.
