anybody going to Rainfest? 'tis guaranteed to be a tea party of sorts.

Ceremony live man? f*ckin...a friend of a friend saw them play a year or so back, and just...started punching himself in the face midway through the set. like, just straight up pounding his nose in. crazy sh*t.

lead singer is also the most primal and predatory man known to walk these earths.

Trash Talk is pretty brutal to boot.

If I wasn't so f*cking far away, I'd go. sad.gif

holy man, that must be the new legitimatebros band they were on about on the website. Sick. LB has a great roster...Go It Alone (R.I.P), Get the Most, Shook Ones, Keep It Clear.

but yeah, sweet sound. tight enough for me to consider booking them for a gig i'm doing in late May, at least.

The latest Bad Religion album is fantastic. They seem to be one of those rare bands that never releases an album I don't like from the get-go.

I'm also enjoying Flogging Molly's recently released, Float.

man, i'd ride anything with wheels for a chance to smoke/drink/inject/get f*cked up with Alex Story. also, pretty sure I've never touched anything by Agnostic Front that I haven't dug immedietly. Warriors is no different.

recent purchases:

Gorilla Biscuits, S/T
This Is New York Hardcore
Flex Your Head
Cro-Mags, Age Of Quarrel/Best Wishes
Slapshot, Tear It Down
Betrayed, Substance
and the American Hardcore DVD

the store had a ton of old obscure punk and ska records too...I probably should get a turntable. I can only purchase so many seven inches before it gets odd.

edit: added a CD. also realized how hilarious it is that my browser says "Editing Post Punk".

haha, nice. I didn't buy any records with my last purchase (only got a few t-shirts), and my hardcore 7" collection is pretty much only 3 albums:

Black Flag - Six Pack
Minor Threat - First Demo Tape
VA - A Reason For Living (Envy, Snapcase, Against All Hope, Despair)

also, I thought the American Hardcore book was much better than the DVD.

sweet sounding show tet...hopefully they'll be as sweet as they were back in their prime..though I suppose i shouldn't be doubtful considering i was nothing but a pearl necklace around my moms neck when they were started up..

jeez...i really don't have a hardcore show lined up till late may. but it's a good positive night; Shook Ones, Get The Most, and some sweet local youth crew.

Verse posted a new song from their upcoming LP.

so sweet. plus they're touring with Have Heart later on, which makes it doubly sexy.

H2O is coming out with a new album called Nothing to Prove on Bridge 9 Records (Moshzilla).

http://www.myspace.com/h2ofamily.

Sounds better than I expected it to. Their last cd was corny as hell.

yeah that show was pretty badass, ANS played before them, and they were awesome as well. At one point JFA played the Charlie Brown song, and I lost my shoe in the pit. All in all it was a great show.

a northwesterner's wet dream. i kick myself daily for not being able to go (my birthday weekend too!)

and Sound and Fury is shaping up to be pretty solid.

Terror and Have Heart alone would make me go, but it's also Sinking Ships' last show, and I want to be there. plus, it has some of my favorites off of Rainfest's lineup so it has a redeeming quality in it as well.

Sorry for the bump, but I found a place that offers some really rare 7' records from the southern punk rock scene. There's some great sh*t on there.
Region Rock Records
Definitely check out some of those bands. I really reccommend the Jack Palance Band, Stun Guns, and Queer Wulf.
