There's some good channels out there for folk and anarchy punk, lately have been listening to Spoonboy

From artichokeification channel, he has a lot of not well-known punk artist music, same goes for the channel called DroogMonkey

This song is so awesome:

If you like folky punk bands like that then you should check out Ash Victim and Molly Tov, friends of mine.

Somehow that guy really annoys me it's not even just this song )which is a bad song) but his English accent I guess?

His lyrics are terribly done as well, I don't know man. It's like he's trying to make deep lyrics, but he just can't pull it off.

Ash Victim actually sounds pretty good (listened to We are all obscene). Molly sounds like she'd rather be singing pop songs (acoustic ones) than punk music. She sounds good though.

Really enjoying my Swedish, melodeath and black metal-influenced d-beat at the moment:

Also, talking of blackened crust, Fukpig

Rise Against is not for two reasons:

a. They're not from southern California
b. They're sh*t

Yeah, Channel X on GTA V looks cool, hosted by Keith Morris as well! I always said that since they made an East Coast hardcore station for IV that they should do a West Coast punk one for V.

Glad to see a thread I started way back in 2008 is still here! And even happier to see an Emma Goldman quote in the signature above me!

Just gonna post this here. It is, in my opinion, the perfect punk song, and one of my all-time favorite songs.

Gotta love the Dicks

Why change your user name to something WORSE though?? hahaha

I recently posted about the CBGB movie, don't know where we'll see that appear depending on where you reside though. Dead Boys featured, and for me, it was OVERKILL who exposed this band to me in the 1980s

There's a point where you lose video and sound, just hang on for the tape to resume, it's a source anomoly apparently ...not related to the digital delivery end, unless it happened upon uploading conversion.

Here's one take from Pearl Jam, I also heard this on an audio CD bootleg chock full of good stuff, but to add, there are bootleg PJ videos also worth procuring, and forget the legality aspect, peope here are openly talking about taking free music as audio files, so don't single me out, This was rather long ago in the VHS era anyway, when I was finding them in local record shops!

Also, MC5 from Detroit inspired countless groundbreaking acts, so they were the protoMetal band, and in an era before punk rock of the 70s.

Speaking of Black Flag earlier, Henry Rollins got his start in that band, for a short while my elder sister was into the punk scene, we were all still really young, we're talking early to mid 1980s, still in High School or Jr High.

I found from what I heard, disliked it a lot. However, as Hardcore and Thrash Metal, Death Metal, and Grindcore became more widespread and well known, it was deemed that perhaps Motorhead and bands like MC5 helped to spawn the movement, prior to the Sex Pistols and those bands that came afterward, late 1970s. It also didn't hurt that Iron Maiden were inspired by punk rock, and Metallica, as well as Megadeth covering Anarchy in the UK and God Save the Queen from Motorhead. I can also see punk influence in the band Gang Green and other metal bands in the 80s
