60 frames isnt impossible, 360 and ps3 already do it for some games. If they can get 30 locked down on GTA4 they should be proud.

The Summer break in Nice was when I finally started to question the relationship, she seemed distant as we walked along the Promenade des Anglais barefoot.

While it might not be smart in thinking GTA IV will run at 60fps, CoD4 for example does and the graphics are superb. It just comes down to how big the game will ultimately be and where you can explore. In CoD4, you just have basic levels, so it isn't much of a job getting it to run at 60fps. GTA IV on the other hand will be a non-stop exploration and thus the framerate obviously won't be as good as other games such as CoD4.

Personally, I'm hoping that the framerate won't turn out to be a problem (trailer 3 kinda' looks "slow"). I couldn't care less how bad the graphics of the game will be (obviously to a certain extent I do), but I would hate a laggy GTA. Eww. barf8bd.gif

Im guessing the frame rate was part of the delay. If they can just get it to stay around 30 frames I would be content. I'd hate to see another mass effect barf8bd.gif

Assassins Creed had alot going on and was an open world pony-farm sort of game.. that had an exelent framerate.

You won't. First, news will still be there when you arrive. Then, I don't have much faith on tomorrow's "exclusive reviews".

I only believe on the game itself, in my own hands.

san andreas wasnt always the smoothest running game, of course that was on the ps2. Hopefully tommorrow we read lots of things like "the frame looks pretty smooth"

Van Gogh, or at least a fugazzzi cup of Saskatoon wheat, would have elevated the scene, though...

It's been declared official by gta4.net and these forums. If it doesn't happen it'll cause us to stop posting pointless irrelevant posts in the non-official section for 5 minutes and people will return making hundreds of posts saying official sources lost credibility.

I personally think BS leaked upwards in the social pecking order around here and corrupted our trusted sources. I hope I'm wrong. Tomorrow wasn't official till someone posted that quote from the private part of the IGN forums; which was never verified by other sources. It spread like wild fire then.

crackdawg: It has been verified by one of the administrators on IGN so i don't think they'd lie about a thing like this...

This isn't some kind of conspiracy theory. Hilary Goldstein from the IGN Xbox 360 channel stated a new preview would be up on the 23rd, CVG stated yesterday that their preview would be up at 12:30 est on the 23rd, and one of the editors over at Kikizo posted in the forums saying that their preview would be up between the 23rd and the 30th. Is that not enough confirmation for you?
