it's not the strecthing that bothers me.

it's when i'm browsing though the earlier pages, and there's about 40 large pictures trying to load at once.
My broadband isn't the fastest around, and the page keeps jumping down and jumping down until they're all loaded.
f*cking annoying basically.

edit: zak, i'm not saying ONLY USE IMAGESHACK. Juts use it to post pics here, i don't care if you still use photobucket or not.

THATS the reason why we should use thumbs. Im sure many of you have sh*tty speeds. Im fine, but im going to post nothing but thumbs from now on.

Another good thing is that i dont need to watch photos i don't want to watch, instead i click the thumbs that look interesting!

1680x1050 here! Dell WFP2007 20"

Friggin win monitor!

Great non-glossy screen for photo editing!

I've got a 22" Envision @ 1680x1050, + a 19" MAG Innovision at 1440x900. Beat that tounge.gif
Sorry, I had to lol.gif

It is nice having a non glossy screen, makes it so much easier to see things just right.

The speed thing does make sense. I'll try and post thumbs from now on wink.gif

Oooh, very nice Don Son! I wish you posted some higher res ones though, pretty small there. The top two are great.

Dun dun dunnnnnnn.
First picture with out a title, just for you maddog, lol. Nothing special really, but I like it. Construction machines are bad ass. This was from earlier today, they're doing some roadwork right outside. Also, first thumbnail, hahahah.

Yes it is Banksy. Surprised how much of his work is allowed to stay by the councils. But apparently Liverpool are removing the one of a rat holding a machine gun.

Banksy is awesome. On the back of his book, it says "You're never going to get a quote from us to use in your book" - Metropolitan Police.

You mean this one?

http://www.flickr.co...att/1297830460/

If so they're not removing it, just covering up to where it says "The Whitehouse" with an advertisement for the Capital Of Culture yawn.gif , as far as I know they're keeping the painting itself intact.

EDIT: As it looks now (or will, don't think they've done it yet): http://www.liverpool...001whitebig.jpg

One of graffiti artist Banksy works is being preserved as part of the programme, which is meant to reflect the city's historical and cultural life. His design of a giant rat's face on side of a former pub that has fallen into disrepair will now remain a permanent feature in Liverpool.

Apparently its the tallest one he's done in the country?

Late Edit: I went past about an hour ago and the wood frame is up although it isn't up yet, I don't see whats wrong with it, it looks good.

Some monkeys threw a party about 4 houses down the street and were pretty loud, so naturally the cops showed up and broke it up. Well, I wanted to take a picture of the aftermath. So I snuck up behind my brothers Cadillac and took a picture, but to my surprise, I forgot to take off the flash! I nearly shat my pants. I thought the cops would cuff me or worse, they would probably have thought I was trying to taser them or something. Lucky they didn't even budge. that_guy2057_evilgrin.gif

CCTV, used by the police to view the surrounding area I've heard.

Just like to say congratulations on (almost) getting a photography forum. I think Visual Arts sounds more sophisticated than General GFX discussion and I'm sure it's mainly down to the regular contributors to this topic. Well done guys, keep up the good work. I think I need to get some more out of my camera. The "good old" English weather is holding me back a bit.

And yes, this weather sucks.

I developed some of my own film at my college last week, this week I'll make some prints up from them. If there are any good ones, I'll of course post them up in here.

And nice to see the changes with the Visual Arts section and everything. I feel like I've helped with something lol.gif
