The original version of this image was so dark you could hardly see the train. A few tweaks in Photo Gallery later, this is the result:

It's utterly nothing compared to the other images on this thread, but I wanted to share it regardless.

Anyway, here's one of my better images:

Thank you sirs happy.gif

Nice shot Ptikobj, I've been wanting to experiment with steel wool. OverTheBelow I really like the first one for some reason, reminds me on the Simpsons with those power plants in the background smile.gif

Nahtsogood, I love the one with the horses biggrin.gif icon14.gif I'm a sucker for depth of field. Also love the "Machu Picchu" one. The sharpening in some of the photos is quite extreme and hurts my eyes to look at, like the "Valentino" one in your second post and the B&W one of the girl walking. But besides that, great work!

Haven't been shooting too much recently (and too many cars!), hoping to change that:

Thanks LC. I'm on my phone and instantly realized that those shots were yours, that's pretty cool, sort of got a style goin on. biggrin.gif

Yeah, I always oversharpen when I put shots on Facebook because it seems to muddy them up a bit and I just threw those files on Flickr instead of resizing again.

Photography news for me... I just shot my first wedding. This is the only one I fixed up so far.I was a bit nervous at first but then I was all good.

[IMG]http://farm4.staticf...6e0d28950_c.jpg[/MG]

Thanks man biggrin.gif I'll be working on more tonight. Yeah the stars there were really incredible. It was fun seeing new constellations.

Congrats on doing the wedding! Lookin good from the posted photo. I have messed around at a pre-ceremony or 2 but I will be shooting a friends full (small) wedding this September. Also pretty nervous :S

Edit: Fixed the photo link in my other post.

Thanks man. And really, you are very talented. Keep up the great work. I'm sure your nerves for your friends wedding will go as soon as you start snapping. Your friends are very lucky to have you shoot your wedding. icon14.gif

@Rhyn: Thanks buddy.

I am not into hard post processing recently. I don‘t know if the below make any sense to you. In most cases these are just casual snaps.

Me either. Aside from a few small adjustments in the RAW file, most of mine are all 'normal'. It's all in how you use your gear. Speaking of which, what kind of setup are you using? I like them smile.gif

I haven't touched my camera in ages. There was a cool lightning storm tonight, so I just snapped a few time lapse photos. I only got one shot I'm really happy with, but when it comes to something as unpredictable as a lightning storm, I'm lucky I got much of anything. I have a few others, I probably spent 20 minutes doing this, but the others didn't have any bolts of light nearly as spectacular as this one. This was shot from my apartment window. The shutter was open for 60 seconds, ISO of 100 and F/22. I don't own Photoshop (or any photo editing software), but I was content with the results from the "Autofix" button in Picasa.

Here is the original image I uploaded to Picasa without the changes made by the autofix button.

Very nice! Haven't had a proper thunderstorm here for 7 years. I just love the raw power of lightning and you've captured it nicely.

Here's a shot of mine of 55022 Royal Scots Grey at Dalmarnock on 17th June:

Yep, round the back of the pot bank in Middleport. I sold the Mini back in December, me and my Dad have got a 1275GT Clubman that we're restoring now though.
