I keep getting a bug, where, say I start a new game. I play the game for awhile, and my game crashes (just like a normal gta game would - it will crash sometimes) So I load my most recent save, but it doesn't load. The progress bar gets probably 9/10 of the way there, and it crashes instantly. No "gta_sa.exe has stopped working" just a total quit of the game. Any help?

I'm not proffessional but here's a package with proper files of TTDISA v1 (672 MB). All you need is to drop them into your SA folder.
.
The mod itself has 30MB and its patch has 672MB !!!
WTF ! ! !
No, pack with patches is only 3.78 MB.
What you're reffering to are proper original mod files that we get after installation. So instead of using installer you can just drop them to your SA folder. Difference in size is so huge because modded files originally placed inside big game archives (like gta3.img) and installer patches vanilla files during installation (writing difference between vanilla and modded using vpatch) while my package provides all 'ready to use' modded files.
This pack could be usefull if user have for example modded gta3.img which installer won't be able to patch (resulting broken game) or for someonce who wants to use TTDISA as a base for different mods.

So gta3.img from SRt3 completely messes up TTDISA - crashes etc.
Anyone know what's causing it?

I mean, I should install other supplementary fixes/patches to avoid any problems I might across mid-game/later?
Thanks.

If you had TTDISA, you sould install Silent's unofficial fixes.

The one listed on "mod index" takes me to only the III/VC patch.
By the way, if moderators update the opening post with clear instructions on how to install the mod would be really helpful for the first time players.
Edit: I found this instruction on page 60!
Compatibility fix for TTDISA! (2.45 MB) Patchers inside archive will make "Things To Do In San Andreas" compatible with v1.0 [US] HOODLUM No-CD Fixed EXE (GTA: San Andreas v1.0 [ENGLISH] No-CD/Fixed EXE). What the point? Version of gta_sa.exe supplied with a mod is a modified version of disassembler-friendly GTA_SA.exe (compact exe by listener). I respect listener's work but seems like compact exe is unstable & exactly uncompatible with some mods (like "Full Nitro Control" by Wesser. 'Friendly' version of TTDISA main.scm works with both TTDISA exe & HOODLUM but 'Full' works only with 1-st. Unofficial patch 1.2 is incompactible with HOODLUM. Thats the reason I've made patchers. Solution: Move all changes that DeeZire made with compact exe to HOODLUM. There was really many changes (1717 differences) but CodeFusion (advanced Patch Generator for Windows) saved a lot of my time & nerves! I've made 2 patchers: MOD_HOODLUM_EXE_4_TTDISA - can patch v1.0 [US] HOODLUM No-CD Fixed EXE TTDISA_EXE_2_MODDED_HOODLUM - can patch original TTDISA EXE RESULT FILES WILL BE EXACTLY THE SAME! YOU NEED TO APPLY ONLY ONE PATCH DEPENDING ON VERSION YOU HAVE. TTDISA installation guide: 1) Find a way to install TTDISA. This solution may help you; 2) Install Things To Do in San Andreas unofficial patch 1.2 by SilentPL; 3) Apply TTDISA_EXE_2_MODDED_HOODLUM 4) Enjoy the game! Re-uploaded 02/06/2013. Fixed TTDISA_EXE_2_MODDED_HOODLUM UNICODE version of md5 plugin (http://nsis.sourceforge.net/MD5_plugin) didn't work so you weren't able to apply patch. Now it's replaced with ANSI version and works fine.
Is this the right setup?

Osho
Here's pack of fixes that will help to solve most of the common problems.
It includes:
1) Original "friendly script" - game will not crash on load for systems different from WinXP x86 (32 bit)
2) End of the Line fix - allows to pass last story mission with trainers, cheats and Silent's Unofficial Fix
3) Mods support (EXE patcher) - allows you to use "Full Nitro Control", "[SA] Widescreen Fix Lite" and increases stability of CLEO scripts.
Please check and follow each readme before asking questions
Here's what you need. The only thing you can't do with this pack is to play Karmageddon sub-mission without crash at the end (like with original installer). TTDISA Silent's patch (you don't need 1 & 2-nd workaround with it) fixes this issue but, as users reported, it may be unstable.

Better don't use 'save anywhere' mods with TTDISA. When I tried few of them, saves loaded but with "broken" HUD icon (white square instead of weapon).

Even the V2 never came out.
Deezire did only five betas and then he published the V1.

This was the original poster I suppose...
If somebody has a better russian than mine, he could explain what's happening there (if just a repack with patches without mentions to original creators... or what else)

I found TTDISA v3, is that truth?
No, it's not.
Some 15-years old Ukrainian guy made few edits to original version trying to make game look like Beta (however, DeeZire claimed that despite there's some restored cut/beta-stuff TTDISA is not really 'Beta mod') and/or satisfy his taste, then put a whole game in archive and called it "TTDISA v.3.0". Among those changes are: timecyc, textures, some animation, some map stuff (like fence around basketball court), particles, SAGFX: PS2, some other mods from different people etc.
So it's just a modpack based on original TTDISA rather than the continuation of it.
