Pinned topics? Never heard of/read em.

They're a different colour to other topics so I just look for the lovely lighter blue colour (GTA3forums skin) then start reading.

I always read the pinned rules before posting in a new section, if it's a spam pinned topic like the request topics in the recruits & requests section I don't bother.

I don't even really realize that they're there anymore. I've read a few of them, but I nowadays I just automatically scroll past them.

I picked the pirate dog, because it was awesome.
And at the topic, no. I've only ever read one pinned topic, and that was to find someones XBL username.

I thought the pinned topics were worth viewing if you got a warning and need to brush up on some rule you forgot or if it is a popular topic that gets pinned like the old UK Meet Ups or User Photo topics. Other than that, sh*t, I just imagine they are not there...

Rules on a forum are mostly directed at people who don't know how to socialize in real life.

ie. The uber nerds. And social rejects.

Kevin tries to "elaborate"

You (pronoun) - a familiar form of address of the second person singular.
Ignorant (adj) - lacking in knowledge or training; unlearned
Ass (noun) - a stupid, foolish, or stubborn person.
Honkey (noun) - Offensive Slang a disparaging term for a white person
Fool (noun) - a silly or stupid person; a person who lacks judgment or sense.

-------------------

Elaborate (verb) - to add details to; expand.

:::EDIT:::

Does it make me a "Honkey" if I am a white person who steals internet from my neighbor? If so...I feel offended. If not, well...I guess no one cares what I feel.

Agreed - just because you're well known!?! It reminds me of a certain other Australian, who would go to any length to be noticed. Agreeing with anyone who has a few posts, or is respected etc. just because it gives them the impression they are cool and in with the crowd. Could it be any less true? Talk about tag-a-longs. I'm tempted to rejoin the moderating team, just so I can knock you off my list, which incidently only has one name on it.

About pinned topics, people rarely read them but then again we could have pink flashing text and no-one would read it. That just seems to be the way it is.

I don't read all the pinned topics really but I do read the topic title if it does concern the section. Back around after the release of VCS, there was an outbreak of SAS topics and even after there was a "Read Before Posting an SAS" topic, there were still SAS topics even though they had gone down a little.
