Lol okay for those who are listening....... Portland paths are like 95percent complete, all that is left to do is connect them and then they are ready.

Don't use hi res textures, just good detailed with max size - 256 x 256, i think 512 x 512 is really unneeded, it will look good anyway.

As far as i know, 512*512 textures dosent look as compressed as 256*256 does. Also it shouldet be a very big problem, if you can run ex. Half Life 2 at low settings, you can run this mod easily too.

your PC will matter, but remember that GTA uses a memory that if you exceed game will stop loading DFFs and going to LODs, like gostown 5 had and other mods with high res textures.

Use 256 all the time you can...

I can run HL2 with high quality models, HDR, AAx2, simple reflections... and it works very fast, but GTA game with 512 x 512 texture makes me slowdown.

@vecis: try running Crysis all High with DX 10, AA x 4, HDR. HL2 uses fake HDR if I'm not mistaken.

Well this mod looks interesting, hope to see more progress soon.

Well, Liberty City is smaller than San Andreas... So Guess what...

I have an Intel Celeron 3.4 GHZ proc, with an ATI Radeon 9600 XT 256 MB and 1024 MB Ram..

SA is lagging a bit, but hey... I've played with the sa2lc mod without any noticeable lagging.

New pavement textures, creating from scratch in photoshop like the road textures. There is also a new grass texture that Nabo has supplied that I have send to the developer team in the gtaiii.img biggrin.gif

Also Nabo has almost completed his re-model of the Portland safehouse:

We should be seeing some ingame shots soon, just as an extra note, The Marcos Bistro is ingame already.

Hm, not bad, not bad. But add some variety to the windows above the door and the garage and the windows on the right of the screenshot. Yes, I perfectly know that even GTA IV does not have a variety of windows but frankly, who says that GTA IV will have perfect graphics? They will just as good as something may be, not anything more.

Well, since that house isn't going to be the safehouse on Portland, it's kinda unneccesary. But maybe you'll get an interior from nabo... dozingoff.gif

Lol sorry Hollaz tounge2.gif . If i make an interiour for those buildings they are gonna be for the Transfender instead. But thats gonna wait untill at least Red Light District is finished.
