Hey guys! It's been a while since I last took a turn here. I forfeited my turn because we have only 24% of turfs and we need 35% for the last mission. I am currently trying to get 100% on IV. Now SA seems pretty fast to me because I play IV on 10-15 FPS most of the time. I still managed to finish the story and now I'm hunting for pigeons (77 left).

Now I know why they say you should take over the required turf before the riots--it's a pain in the butt to do it while they're going on.

Also, while CJ looks great in that suit, it wasn't really the right look for gangbanging, so I turned him into OG Loc... biggrin.gif

Yep, that's why it's preferred also in chain game to take turfs before riots.

In my own first game when the gang wars started, I dressed up in my best suit for the gang wars. CJ looked so funny with the suit while being all gangsta tounge.gif

I like dressing up in a Tuxedo from Didiersachs, whether I be in Los Santos as a gangsta, in the countryside being a hillbilly, in San Fierro being, um, the owner of a garage..., in the Desert being a hillbilly again or in Las Venturas planning a casino heist. lol.gif

Nope, there were quite a few rounds that took well over a month. Somewhere around rounds 7-14, you can check the details in the hall of fame.

BTW, anyone heard of *asim*? He hasn't been around for 2 weeks now... If he doesn't show up soon we'll need a volunteer to do the checklist for next round.

Next round will feature two wowai-style games.
One for the LS Jetpack for which aFinn will give the clues - the winner will get to pick the next location for the LS Jetpack.

In the second game you'll have to find a newly added vehicle. It has "Stefan" on the number plate, to honour the host and founder of the original wowai game. I will give clues to its location, and the winner will get to pick a new vehicle and location for the subsequent round. If possible the plates will get the winner's name (not all vehicles support custom plates).

The winners will then post the clues for their newly selected locations in the subsequent round, etc...

As a general rule, the more guesses you guys deliver, the more clues will be given, so don't be shy and guess away.

Starting date:
Originally, JAJ and I were planning to start round 41 on Feb 21st. But since round 40 finished a couple of days early, we might as well go later today or tomorrow.

Anyway, I'm currently finalising the new save and waiting to hear back from JAJ.

We still need a volunteer to do the checklist next round...

I will volunteer myself to do that. I'll be happy to help out with the CG as much as i can to get acquainted with everything preceeding my first turn in the Chain Game in Round 45.

So, i can do the Checklist on the front page as i know all about anchors and page jumps (cheers, JAJ) but i wont be able to do all of this. Too hard and not enough time blush.gif

But, feel free to choose someone who volunteers themself who has done it before/*asim* when he comes back/someone who has more experience in the CG.
I will not feel offended at all. icon14.gif

EDIT: Oh, there we are: girishb can do it ^

No offence to *asim* but I've always insisted on Girish taking up the stats and the checklist. It was his job originally and as long as he had it with him, everything was perfect without any delays.. GC isn't bad either. It's up to the officers to decide..

Stats are not compulsory and the idea behind *asim* taking over was to get some workload off girishb's back. So what about GC doing the checklist for next round, and girishb doing stats if he has the time?

The Chain Game WOWAI Games

From round 41 on, the Chain Game will feature two additional mini games in the style of the ever-popular WOWAI. These games will be played here in the Lounge, and the name stands for "Who Or What Am I?" - which is not 100% accurate in our case but I decided to stick with it anyway, it has become somewhat of a well-known expression around these boards after all.

LS Jetpack WOWAI
  • In this game we are looking for the location of the LS Jetpack .
  • The winner gets to pick a new location for it.

Vehicle WOWAI
  • In this game we are looking for a newly added vehicle spawn somewhere on the map (model and location) .
  • The winner gets to pick a new location and a new vehicle and if possible the number plate will get the winner's name on it (not all vehicles support custom plates).

How to Play
  • For both games, last round's winners will post clues to the new locations they picked.
  • Clues can be as difficult/misleading/twisted as you like, but they must have something to do with the riddle and those who gave the clues will have to explain them once the riddle has been solved.
  • As a general rule, the more guesses come in, the more clues will be given. How many and when exactly is up to whoever gives the clues.
  • If you want to join the game, just happily guess away. There is no restriction of one-guess-per-post, but please keep the number reasonable.
  • Unlike in the original wowai game, not all is guesswork here - if you think you figured out the clues, you can always see if you can find the item in any of the current chain game saves.
  • Note that these games will not add additional Jetpacks and vehicles with each round - it will rather be one Jetpack spawn and one vehicle spawn which will move around the map and last round's LS Jetpack and wowai vehicle will not be in the current round.

Big thanks to Stefan. for the idea and the original wowai game.

Happy Guessing & Have Fun! biggrin.gif

Is the next round going to be v1 or v2 barriers? Is there a system in place, something like 2 rounds of v1 and 2 rounds with v2, or is it mainly dependent on position of the moon and the like? tounge2.gif

The next round will have v2 barriers, and no, there's no system behind it other than "we're alternating".

As for the starting date - it seems I just so missed JAJ during his lunch break. The new round is ready to go, but it now depends on when JAJ will get home from work and how that time will interfere with my sleeping pattern... I guess it's safe to say we'll be up and running within the next 24 hours.

Oh well, gives both of us a bit more time to get our clues together, eh, aFinn? sly.gif

I had an idea hit me before the start of this round, and though it was a bit of work, I managed to grab all the "named mission" saves (94 if I did things right) for both v1 and v2 scripts.

The reason why I did this was that I thought it would be a good idea to have missions "on hand" for practice - basically a mission can be practiced an unlimited number of times until one gets "the hang" of it.

So - I thought this might be good thing to share with the community, but WOULD there be interest in it?

This wouldn't be just for established players, but new players who had trouble passing some missions, so I just need some feedback as to whether there would be interest in this or not.

Each file weighs in at approximately 5.66mb.

I myself won't need them, and afaik JAJ collects all chain game saves and shares them if someone wants to have them. If you're talking about unmodded saves, there's already quite a nice selection here.

Where and what am I?
  • I have "Stefan" written on my number plate.
  • Honk-honk. But low frequency.
  • If it weren't for those twits, there'd be one near me of which there's many all over the map. Out of all of them, this one is special though.
Guess away and happy hunting! ...and if you're not sure what the hell this is, read here.
