I'm with you Unlimited and Orion. New concepts can be provided into the Chain Game custom saves but they really have to be given a lot of thought..

@Rubregg: Thanks for clearing that doubt about the paramedic mission.. Also, Orion mentioned that Pimping and Taxi's can be done in restricted areas eh sly.gif ??? Well that gives me a new thought wink.gif .I'll see you guys soon.. icon14.gif

For 4-star taxi there is a special proofed green taxi on Doherty garage. And I believe a green Broadway in Verdant Meadows garage?

I checked most of the vehicles at LV, but not the plane/heli spawns marked, maybe some of those are still reward for a later mission?

I'm still not sure on the Flight School unlocks. This section of script is particularly confusing. There are potentially 28 vehicles displayed by this mission, and 12 vehicles are hidden at the same time. However, I'm fairly certain a few of the vehicles were displayed early, and some of the others were tweaked so they wouldn't unspawn. I'm not sure how to sort through the mess.

It looks like I was wrong about the vehicles hidden by Flight School. I'm fairly certain that all 12 of these vehicles are hidden after earning the pilot's license.

Today my GTA IV clan set up a IRC channel. Me being an an admin witht he clan I pretty much had to go along with it. So I downloaded mIRC and I went hunting and with some help I found the channel and I played around with the program for awhile and figured some stuff out.

I did a search of Chain Game and it turns out that we have our on IRC channel. wow.gif Anybody can use it all you need are mIRC and well thats it. Connect to irc://irc.gtanet.com/gta (irc://irc.gtanet.com/gta) and once there type /join #chaingame and it will take you to our channel. If anybody has any questions about it I can probably answer them.

For those who dnt know, an IRC channel is basically a place where people can go and have a live chat reguardless of your internet speed. I'm on 56K and it works great.

Come join in people!

Yes, it is. Although the casino heist missions aren't a part of the main storyline.

Thanks again OrionSR! This certainly narrowed things down. I'm thinking Quarry might unlock Police Maverick in LV?

But the rest I guess would be best to check properly to get them right.
What I noticed though, using the map (from round 23), I counted 8 unconfirmed vehicles left that are marked as mission triggered, yet looking at the clues left, that would mean 12 unconfirmed vehicles left. Is the map not accurate on that regards, or have I counted wrong?

Ah, just noticed that 100% reward Turismo at Grove St isn't marked on the map.

Phew!! You found it eh lol.gif ?? It's been a common feature for us epox as we experienced this in the previous round as well.. In this situation you can collect money from those Mafia hit squads, re-do the sub-missions which earn you a lot of money like the freight train, collect money from assets, and many more things which earn you money.. The more you collect the less time is taken to relieve yourself from the UFO curse.. icon14.gif

If you restart the Quarry Mission then the reward vehicles will be hidden again. Complete the mission set and they will be redisplayed. This reward vehicle is unique as a vehicle that can be moved out of the way if it causing trouble with other missions.

I believe the map is current, and hope it is reasonably accurate. The vehicles modified since this map was created were boats that were added and since removed. It would be more likely that I've provided incorrect information. I would suggest a summary post and any logic you've got on what's left or numbers out of whack and I'll make a trip through the script and sort everything out.

Note: the vehicles that are hidden by flight school are labeled as New Vehicles - purple.

BTW, you say 12 vehicles hidden by pilot's lisence/Flight School, but I count over 30 vehicles marked as New (purple). Is it so that 12 of those will be hidden but rest stay?

Yes, the purple vehicles are displayed from the beginning and 12 of them disappear.

The types are just numbers as well. Common numbers get special labels in the compiler to make reading the code a little easier.

The 100% Hydra is default, and the 100% Turismo has been confirmed in many rounds. So my hints are misleading.

I have to do the math again, thanks, now I am seeing Slamvan at El Corona and and Maverick at armory. (Plus Grove Hydra).

Rock Band is cool. The orange button sucks. School of Rock is cute as hell.
One hint: You can't see it if CJ is in debt.
Red Dawn will be rubregg's doom.

Supper was very good after cleaning up vomit. Spiders count as pets if you feed them.
Andromeda Jump starting zone is too small. The chip trick is mighty fine.

I can answer 1 and 3 for you, but Orion will have to answer number 2. Alright here goes:

(1) The UFO Curse is a pickup location at a cabin in the woods not far from the Angel Pine (purchaseable) safe house. When collected it works like any other asset pickup, except it gives you a huge negative amount of money and the fun (best) part is trying to get back to the postitive money all while still trying to pass missions that require the PnS and reqiure you to purchase food and clothes.
(3) It is a large amount, because that is the way the creator (Orion) created it. Although I did discover a glitch involving the casinos the maxes out the money automatically when played.

I think I just about covered that pretty well. Hope this helps.

Yes, I'd say that's a very complete answer to 1 and 3. The only thing I can think to add is that the "UFO Curse" is set to -5 million instead of the original -3 million because our CJ usually had over 3 million by the time he reached LV, and the game finishes at about 4 million at 100% plus no extras. I needed a dept that was large, but not so high that it couldn't be managed before the game was over. I think I've got the balance just about right. We need to work at it, but not too hard.

The UFO Curse feature is confusing, but also a lot of fun once you figure out the tricks. I was considering removing the curse to avoid the maxed money glitch, but it hasn't been a problem since it was discovered; just be sure to avoid the Wheel O' Fortune while the curse is active. I'd like to leave it in, and the glitch can be considered a feature of independent play.

There are several ways to put a safe house in unusual locations, most are too complex for this topic, but we can always move the discussion to the modding forum. The method that was used for this save was to modify the IPL lines in the file that connects the links between the yellow doors when a new game is created. These links are not remapped by default configurations so the extra hideouts work on your computer even though you don't have the same modified map files. You'll notice that the game gets confused about where it's going on remapped links and displays the destination from your configuration before it discovers the actual location where CJ appears.

And that's about all the detail that's appropriate for this topic. I'm perfectly willing to discuss details of how to use the chain game links or anything else that's related to chain game play in this topic. But if you want information on how to actually make your own modifications then we should discuss it in the modding forum. Post the link here and I'll be sure to visit.

I guess there are quite a few. People seem anxious to tell their favorites if the subject comes up. I'm not sure. I guess I'm not in the loop.
