My mistake. I didn't see it in the rules so I assumed you could do it.

No one was on the forum when I started composing the 'my turn'. When I posted I check to be sure I'm alone, but found miromiro had posted. So, since normal turns at this time of the game don't take more than 15 minutes to half an hour, I changed it to waiting.

It would be better to cancel your call instead of using terms like "waiting" that might imply a reservation, even if that results in a double post. As it is your turn began 20 minutes before miromiro finished, which shouldn't happen. I've also argued that players should not edit their completed turn more than 5 minutes after posting it or once someone else has called a turn. It makes a kink in the chain. Using Preview Post and reviewing the Last 10 Posts before using Add Reply should help reduce problems with multiple calls.

@thegtaman531: Renaming cleo.asi to something like cleo.asi.bak will disable CLEO. Make sure that CLEO isn't shown on the bottom left of the pause screen.

Does that really matter? Because if so, you may have to restart every round I participated in. tounge.gif I always have CLEO enabled with one script loaded. It's activated when I press F8.

It gives you the ability to move the camera, that's all. There doesn't seem to be any problems with it, so does it really matter to disable CLEO?

Seriously? You aren't just saying this because we aren't quite ready for round 100? I realize the response to your Teaser Trailers has been disappointing but you don't have to go out of your way to get suspended from the round. If you don't want to be part of the round 100 team just say so. Maybe there's an exception.

QUOTE
Do not use any kind of cheats, trainers, mods or cleo scripts except for ThaBoY who gets to do whatever he wants. They can seriously mess up things later in the game, so using them will not only spoil the fun for yourself, but also for the other players.

Nope. It looks like everyone is expected to follow the same set of rules.

Send me a link to the mod so I can see if any damage has been done.

It matters because:

The cleo scripts will always run. How do you think pressing F8 has any effect?
Even if cleo reports no active scripts it could be it has already done it's damage and has ended.
Most players don't write their own scripts so they can't be sure what it's doing while waiting for a button press.
Many scripts are written very poorly. It's ridiculously easy to write a bad mod.
Even well designed scripts were never designed to be compatible with the CG saves.
I have no intention of reviewing all possible mods for compatibility with the CG saves.

I know exactly what my scripts are doing and how they might effect the CG saves, but I always disable them completely before taking a turn because everyone is expected to follow the same set of rules. I wouldn't want to risk violating the trust of the CG staff and players.

Update: Okay. It looks like it's pretty unlikely that this script has caused any damage to the save.

Something is wrong with miromiro's save. He says he did Explosive Situation but the save says Fender Ketchup and N.O.E. is still available even though I already did it. Looks like wrong save uploaded. I'll continue with lil weasel's save. Edit his post as forfeit to keep final 100% stats correct.

Again, I bring forward the 'need' to have: [ ] Key Card' added to the 100% check list.
Just knowing that doing the "Key to Her Heart" is completed, does NOT tell us if the Player has actually acquired the Key Card.

The list does contain "Burglary Mission" and "Beat the Cock" when they aren't necessary for the 100%.

I think that the [ ] Key Card should be added to the check list.

I don't believe he's talking about the checklist in Samutz' uploader. I think he's talking about Meth's 100% checklist. But I believe it would be better to mention if you had picked up the card or not. It can't be that hard can it? If nothing is mentioned in the notes we should take it that the card hasn't been obtained since it hasn't been mentioned.

I really enjoyed playing the GTA SA Chaingame after a long time and eagerly look forward to the special 100th round. This round zoomed like an express train and some things came to my mind which i like to suggest here to my fellow chain gamers. As you may have noticed I have a penchant for collecting & storing special vehicles especially those Everything proof ones and given a chance i would've liked to collect all the available Proofed/Special vehicles listed in system error's guide for the Chain game. But that beats the spirit of the Chain game. So what i would like to add is, let us take some time, let us pause and make it a really special 100 th round of the GTA SA chain game.

For starters here are some of the things we can attempt to do/find/search

Quoting from JAJ's posts about the details and features of the Chain game rounds

Pickups
Jetpacks are available in each of the three major cities but might require some work to get to. Especially so since two of them are hidden at new locations now.
Jetpacks
LS Jetpack; hidden at new location
SF Jetpack; Chinatown rooftop (requires some clever climbing)
LV Jetpack; hidden at new location

Other features
There are a couple of new ways to make money (or even lose some) if you look around.
Be sure to look around and check out some of the new additions before doing everything the same old way; you might find something that'll help you do, for example, early vigilante without the Hunter or HPV.

"Ufo Curse"

A money pickup with negative cash value has been added to the game. It will subtract $5 million and can only be picked up once, after that it's gone.
It is hidden somewhere in the woods, near a big rotating Ufo.

There's another one-time-only money pickup which revokes the Ufo Curse. It's rather well hidden though.

Custom License Plates
OrionSR's new car has yet to be found. Note this used to be a random car in the Royal Casino parking garage.

So what you say guys ?smile.gif

Are those available at the begining of the game?
Are there any hints? Search the whole city for a well hidden jetpack would take days without luck.

We already used this for a few rounds and the players are actually tired of using it. But it's been a while since anyone has picked it up so you never know what might happen. wink.gif

I really don't know what to say about this. It's a random car that used to be in the Royal Casina parking garage so it could be anywhere. It would be fun to look for this.

I'd say it's rather pointless since we're already getting a new save for the 100th or the 101st round. Check this post over here. icon14.gif

Very well said from a player that has played several rounds. But what about the new players that want to discover the stuff in the chain game for themselves.
As for the speed of the game, I don't care one way or the other, the game is here for everyone to enjoy.
So, also check out <this post & the ones before and after>.
Please note in OrionSR's post that the 100th round will have some new modifications, they will be explained/hinted in the 100th round's post.

Wow. Welcome back aFinn. Will you be taking a turn in round 100?

It's great to see so many returning players. Welcome back to laezy as well. I've been a bit busy with preparations for the upcoming rounds or I would have said hello earlier.

And it's nice to finally meet you CCPD. The CG Development Team has been using your artwork for years. Your work has been greatly appreciated.

I wonder who else might show up to say hello for round 100. I'm wondering if we should send private messages to some of the CG players who haven't been around for a while on the off chance that they have email notifications for PMs enabled.

Thank you OrionSR. I have many fond memories of my times exploring and finding all the cool new additions that you or rubregg made. smile.gif

I've been reading some pages of this thread now, and I saw you mentioned one of the mutant bikes. I randomly went to page 100 and saw rubregg's mention of 12 mutant bikes added so it's probably one of them?

Anyways, if I will have time or courage to take a turn I hope to do so, but I'm so rusty that I'll have to see. I think I have SA installed on my current computer. Can a kind soul inform me where the SA saves are located in Windows 7?

Yeah. The saves are located in:

My Documents > GTA San Andreas User Files.

E: Welcome back!, it's great to see some of the past players coming back. We all hope to see you in the 100th round.

The saves for SA on Win7 are in (depending on the view you use):

Libraries > Documents > GTA San Andreas User Files
C:\Users\user\Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files

@shoumic: That would be dudette. I'm not sure if we've had any other female players in the CG.

Well it depends on the number of people taking place. I believe the 78th round was the quickest which lasted a bit more than a week. But as of late they've been lasting a solid 2 weeks. So you shouldn't miss the whole round since it wont swoosh in 2 days. wink.gif

Almost forgot... I don't remember which of us discovered the mutant bikes created by placing custom rims on bicycles and motorcycles but rubregg thought they were great and add several to the garages when he was editing the CG saves. A lot of them are hidden away in the impound lots where no one ever sees them before they get replaced by impounded vehicles. I suspect many of them have ever been collected.

There's a good chance the special save planned for round 100 will slow the round a little.

I have been reading from page 100 onwards and am now in pg 115, a lot of talk about the mutant bikes right there coincidentally. They were added around round 43 I believe.

Hmm... will it be -5million cash to start with? cry.gif

Hopefully not, because it was a pain in the ass last time when somebody picked that curse. We literally couldn't buy anything. Sure, it's possible to get that money back by doing missions and a lot of Vigilante, but I don't think it'd be that much fun, to be honest.
And besides, ever since I join the Chain Game in the 53rd round I haven't seen a single round starting with negative cash, so I don't think it'll be added now.

Thanks for adding the text description for the found items. This should help ThaBoY avoid confusion when trying to update the map in his Gloop Management post.

The preferred image host is http://imgur.com/

imgur provides easy access to everyone without registration, as well as easy thumbnail formatting. If all/most of the screenshots are hosted on the same site it should be easier to compile a library of thumbnails for the discoveries -- assuming ThaBoY has the time to make one.

First impressions: CG players are pretty good at finding hidden items. Already some of the pickups I thought might be difficult to locate have been identified. Well done.

Note for JAJ. The starter save began with 1.6% progress due to the removal of the oysters, horseshoes, and snapshots.

Note to everyone: the bonuses from the collectibles have been applied except no money was awarded, and CJ has no Luck this round. The Gloop payout will more than make up of for the missing cash, and as far as I can tell the Luck stat makes no difference at all. Please let me know if your observations are different.
