I am thinking that in the 100th round of this chain game, we might get to play the Beta missions...Can that be made possible by some brilliant members around here? Just a random question.

Not by modifying the save file unfortunately. But there're many mods out there that add beta things to your game, I would recommend Things To Do In San Andreas by Deezire. It adds a lot of the beta stuff, and of course the beta missions.

Perhaps someone can modify certain files and players can just swap the files for the chain game?

Post the download for the files on the 100th chain game regs or something?

Good job guys, the game nears it's 98th end.

This won't happen for round 100. We already have plans for that round.

It has been our policy to always play with standard scripts and data files, but this isn't necessarily a requirement. If enough people were interested we could play a few rounds with TTDISA or the All-In-One mod. It's been the impression of the development team that these types of mods would restrict participation. I wonder if a spin-off topic would be more appropriate.

There was also the comment of running a parallel game allowing the 'Mission' races to be completed early to see if doing them would actually 'screw-up' the game play...

Someone mentioned that the mission races were run out of order once in the chain game and that we didn't get the million dollar bonus, but apparently there wasn't a problem with completing the game to 100%. I don't remember the round and didn't investigate further.

Yes, three of them come down. Quite a surprise when it happens icon14.gif
it IS a feature of the "Chain Game", not normal game play.

Something that happened a few rounds ago, I just found the pic again. Has this something to do with the save, or is this just a strange coinsidence? There were also three of the same guys on the same bikes going the other direction.

As far as I know it happens in normal game aswell, it has nothing to do with chain game save.

If you're referring to the AT-400, that's abnormal; If you're referring to multiple, identical peds driving the same motorcycle in a line, that's normal. Although that must happen very frequently (which is abnormal) if you were able to get a screenshot of it before they disbanded.

The Chain game rounds have link for hmvartak's uploader, but the links are no longer working for me. So hmvartak's website is down for others too? Just wanted to confirm.

Yeah, it's down. Just use Samutz' uploader.

Edit: I have found this . It seems to work as well. You could check it out.

This is probably a retarded question, but im just trying to play it safe.
If you have any skins installed, will they appear on the save game you're uploading?

They shouldn't, since it's a modification to your own game rather than the save file itself, though I believe it'll affect it a little. Best would be to remove the skin mods you have while playing the Chain Game, unknown bugs could occur after it, and it'd be a shame. Besides, it's against the first and very important rule of the Chain Game:
QUOTE (#1 Chain Game Rule)
Do not use any kind of cheats, trainers, mods or cleo scripts . They can seriously mess up things later in the game, so using them will not only spoil the fun for yourself, but also for the other players.

You can check it yourself here. Mods are not allowed. icon14.gif

I just downloaded the latest save file on the main topic and it crashed.
I have CLEO installed, would removing it work?

I'm not sure, CLEO isn't a file replacing mod; but if you're going to participate in the Chain Game you MUST remove it, since it's forbidden to use any mods, as I stated in the post above about the first Chain Game. Watch out that we're using V2 scripts to play the game. The reason why it might crash may also be because you're using V1 scripts, if you have San Andreas V1. You're going to need the V2 scripts in order to load the save file. Note that the game version doesn't matter, but the script version. Here's an older quote of mine, should be of help.

QUOTE (miromiro)
We're playing the V2 one. Here's how to install it the V2 thing:
First off all, download the V2 scripts here if you haven't done that already.
Make a new folder in you main San Andreas directory called "Script V2" and keep on switching that with your V1. How you do that? Well, create also a folder called "Script V1" and copy paste the main.scm & script files (located in San Andreas directory --> data --> script) and paste them in your V1 folder. Now, you can switch them by either copy pasting each version from your V1 or V2 folders in the data --> script folder, and replace those files, or simply cut and paste.

Silly question, but can you do that with skins?
Because I was an idiot and installed skins without backing up the original skins.

Nope man, sorry. Sharing original game files is forbidden on this network. Simply remove the modded files, un-install the game and re-install it. That way, everything will come back to normal. wink.gif

There is no such thing as reserving a turn in the Chain Game.

Reserving turns in the Chain Game ain't really allowed. This is just a pure coincidence to see lil weasel reserving a turn, mainly because he didn't see my call. Reserving has many down points, since you're supposed to finish your turn in 3 hours, while if the first caller takes up 2 hours 55 minutes, you only have have the remaining time, depending when you called it to "reserve" it. Like, you called it at 15:30 to reserve it, and the first caller called it at 15:20. 3 hours from the first caller's turn would be 18:20, so if he edits it at 18:15, you'll only have 15 minutes to do your turn, since most of your turn's time is taken by the first caller. 18:30 would be the deadline for you.

Never reserve a turn, it's not working good. Not to mention is unfair.
