Grand Theft Auto United is a modification based on GTA San Andreas for the personal computer, which replaces the gamearea, the so called 'map', of GTA San Andreas through the map of the two GTA Games GTA III and GTA Vice City on basis of the graphic- and physicengine of GTA San Andreas in only one game. The transition between both maps forms the natural border of the water. Furthermore on the list of the team stands, to create a fully new and selfmade story, which would brings with it new created missions in the final version of GTA United, too.

'GTA United' is exclusive for the two GTA-Fansites [ www.gta-worldmods.de ] and [ www.gtainside.com ] and is only allowed to be hosted on these two sites. Furthermore, GTA United is not commerciall, the developer team doesn't earn money with the modification, but create it free for everyone to access it on GTA-WorldMods and GTAInside.

Then there is to say, that the modification Grand Theft Auto United doesn't stand in any relation or assosiation to Rockstar Games, Rockstar North or Take Two; the rights and therefore the copyright on the names 'Grand Theft Auto', 'GTA III', 'GTA Vice City' and 'GTA San Andreas' owns Rockstar Games.

Version 1.2

The next version we are working at is Version 1.2. With Version 1.2 we want to create a stabil running United, which is in many aspects better then it's predecessor. It will include hundreds of script and map fixes, new placed items, new secrets, working interiors, and many more. The release date isn't set yet, we want to do our work as good as possible, and that's need time. wink.gif


Final Words

Well, its good to have all cities back, but you should IMO make them best talking about texture/models quality, anyway I personally dont like city conversions, because i've already played that.

I've seen the project on GTAinside and GTAworldmods yet and i thinks it's a good idea, but i have teste the two different beta of LC2SA and VC2SA and many col. bug and path bug and other things i have reported...
So do you have repair this bugs? notify.gif

And i've thing, it's a good idea (i'm repetting), but Liberty City and Vice City is two universe differents, two ambiance differents and i thinks it's not a real god idea in fact to unit themself confused.gif ...Just my mind!

Yes we did! I worked nearly one year to get those paths working... The COLL Bugs are also removed nearly completely.

@Jost_Vice: But ou haven't got the cities in one game ^^

@It_yao: We won't convert them. In the later versions we will add a completely new storyline! (But first we have to add SA ^^)

Firstly, I have to say that this is a great mod for GTA. I can't wait to test it. smile.gif

But I have a little question:
Will there be an transfender tuning shop anywhere on the map?
If not, please add one anywhere on the map, that would be really great. cool.gif

Ok, where do I start. Well as what I see, I like the brightness in the City, like I hate Fog and Rain. So that's good. Secondly, you really have something good going here. Keep it up.

Wait, isn't this what the people at GTA: State Of Liberty are doing? Except this is for the SA engine, and they're doing it for the Vice engine.

All I can say is, if this works, wow.

Like Jostvice has said, playing City whichg i had even played is boring....

Convert every building with an HD model and new great textures, this will be awesome, but converting map which allready exist....

Jost_vice is right. Me and a few others have played more conversions like this. The mod called GTA State of liberty put all three in the same but that mod seems to be dying. This tho has surpassed it since this mod atleast has a map. (GTA SOL is a vice mod Btw)

Okay back on topic.

I've seen this mod on another site. It was impressive but you should take advantage of features like airports and the railroad along with obvious things like extra roads. A nice idea would be to some how connect Vice and Liberty by using those tunnels in Shoreside Valve that have never been used yet.

If you plan on adding SA back also beware that all 3 cities is a great idea but don't forget way's to connect them other then taking a helicopter.

One thing though, didn't San Andreas have a limit to how many objects could be loaded on the map? Making mods like this.. impossible?

I would like to say that I think that the airports should bring you from island to island or flying or boating yourself cause I hate the fact that people make mods with these cities and they put one huge road/highway all the way to each one, even the underground tunnel is kinda stupid, I think airports is the way to go...

I'm not sure about the transportation system between LC/VC, but when we put SA in we most likely place it above the two cities because of the map bounds limit, this will mean the only way to get to and from SA will be airports/aircraft/watercraft or the ferry service.

sweet your putting in the ferry service? hey by any chance are you going to add any of the extra stuff from liberty city stories or vice stories? maybe the interiors from them??? I think that would be cool. so you're not sure yet if you guys are going to use the airport or the ferry service to get to all three cities??? it would be cool if you could though...

wow the 2nd trailer looks great! i saw you already converted some peds and cars. are you planning to convert some radio stations too so you have like 3SA station, 3III stations and 3VC radio stations? converting is really easy but if you need any help you can pm me for that;) i have all three games you know;). then the paths, they where simply amazing! not even one time i saw a car on the pavement and in the III district they even stop for red lights. there is also much more traffic than in the original games. i like that. the only - point is that there aren't zone's like industrial (for the docks) yet (for what i'v seen). but i had an idea, what if you guys can make 3 new standard zones. 1 for VC another for gta III and the last one for SA so you wont see gtaIII cars in VC. that would be very realistic and i think it can be done.

I also have some more questions:D!
1. In VC the traffic lights didnt work are you planning to fix them?
2. Are you also going to convert peds form gta III?
3. The font is still the SA one. are you planning to change it? maybe you can even try to make 3 font files and script that the game uses different ones for every district.
4. How will flying from one district to another be? are you using the different 'heavens' where normally the game interriors are located? would be a good idea maybe couse you can easily script a maker near a ferry or a plane that teleports you to a farry or plane in another district (where you normally would teleport to the interior of the malibu for example). when the player doesn't use the maker but tries to fly to the other district by hisselve you can try to modiffy the mission script of the original sa game mission where ou fly to liberty city so when you fly to far over the sea you'll automaticly teleport.
5. the cars in game all have another license playe. maybe you can use the gta:united plate as the standart one. putting it on all cars is very easy.
6. is the train in gta gonna work? would be great! altough it's very difficult to code a working train.

that where my suggestions! i think GTA United is a really good mod! it works very smooth and you guys are putting alot of work in it i see!

thank you... but there is a popcycle support for the zones o.O.
Converting Radio Stations you have to do on your own. We also got this idea but it is not legal!

To awnser your questions:

1. Yes for sure (But this is very hard work and so it needs it`s time ^^)
2. We haven't planned this!
3. Yes we planned it but atm we have to do more important things ^^
4. You mean from SA => VC/LC? from LC <=> VC you can simply use a plane atm ^^
5. Nice Idea!
6. Yes it already works... we got the LC Trains ingame!
