I was going to buy this to hold me over till GTAIV, but then I found out my roommate is going to buy it, so whats the point.

Some excellent song choices I must say. Pity Rock the 80's didn't have the same pazazz.

Rocks the 80's was the same f*cking game (As GH2), with half the content, for the same price as GH2.

Battle Mode is just so damn awesome. I need to pick up a guitar controller, and knock it up to Expert. Should be crazy fun. ^_^

I got a 512 note streak for The Metal, and ended up hitting 644/653 (or was it 544/553... I don't remember, but I think it was the former) on Hard. All that with a standard 360 wireless controller with a f*cked up left bumper. Can't wait for this game. I was going to get Rock Band, but after a while I realised how expencive it was going to be.

Does anyone know if the Les Paul controller will work for Rock Band? If so, I'm set. But if not, I'll just get GH3.

Oh, and you can't kill the Metal.

I'm so f*cking stoked about Bloc Party and Metallica being on there. The song list is so massively, enormously, god-refutingly EPIC that I have a giant quivering boner dripping with flop sweat from the possibilities of how awesome this will be. You know some you twats are gonna play me online. I AM ALL THAT IS MAN.

I can't f*cking wait two more damn days.

I've gone almost a month without Guitar Hero II (sold).

I've got a fever, and the only cure, is more Guitar Hero.

Nah, but I might be getting it soon, for this game. The real problem I have is that my bedroom, where the xbox is, doesn't have any phone jacks. So I need to get some sort of wireless network going with a hub, or the wireless adapter for the 360. I'll probably go for the hub, since the adapter is ridiculously overpriced.

Don't want to run wire? You should totally get live. It's only $50 for a year, and if you buy it at the store it comes with a headset. Then we can skate too.

The subscription was never the problem. But yeah, no wires. We rent this house, and my aunt who is the landlady doesn't like us changing it much, since she grew up here.

P.S. I'm lazy.

I've only just played the demo since downloading it last week, and i must say it's great it's a lot easier using the controller to hit the notes than using the guitar.

There's a nice selection of songs on the demo aswell.

I downloaded it two days ago and its a lot of fun
Hit me with your best shot and rock you like a hurricane are my favorites
They are really hard when you play on hard or expert especially with the controller
Im having some trouble with it. The demo won't go if i play it on my regular pro but when i go on live it works

Got it earlier today. All I've played so far is the co-op career with my girlfriend, and I must say, it's fun sh*t.

It's for PS2 though, so I'm stuck using the Kramer guitar instead of the Les Paul with the fancy-schmansy removable faceplate.

Still, GH3 inlove.gif

I must wait for tomorrow.

I've shut myself in all day, so I wouldn't run into anyone with it, or see it in stores.

It's gonna be a long restless night.

I picked it up for 360 today, including the Les Paul controller.

Hours later, I finished the game on Expert. Yes, thats right, expert, guitar battles and all. The last one was a motherf*cker of a f*cker, but in the end, I got my golden fiddle. After that I played a few songs with a buddy of mine AWN LYNE, which raped the sh*t in TWO different categories:

1.) ZERO lag. None. Zilch. Nada. Zipideydoda. Hats off to Nervesoft for however they did it, faked or not.
2.) We were playing on hard, and I got a 590 note streak on One. Gimme my duckets. Thank you.

Not to mention is was just straight up fun as f*ck.

Anyone know if that Dean ML on the rack in the guitar shop can be bought? Theres a god damn Dimebag Darrell skin for Axel Steel, so if they neglected the holy ML, I'll finally have something to bitch about.

If anyone wants a go, add me on XBL: AlianAnt or just throw you tag on here and I'll add you. The more the merrier.

@Seddo: The later songs on Expert are damn near impossible with a standard controller.

No offense, but why the hell would you play a guitar hero game with a normal controller? Seriously, get a guitar controller.

@AlianAnt: Sounds f*cking awesome. Unfortunately I still don't have my copy yet...damn! Question: Can you play bass/rhythm in Quick Play, or still just practice/co-op mode? I also heard that there's no rhythm parts to play at all..

I beat the game on expert last night, and man that final battle was a bitch to beat. After that I played some co-op with a buddy of mine online.

I was pretty skeptical about the online part of this game, but it's seriously awesome.

Now all that's left to do is beat Through the Fire and Through the Flames.

Well are there more than there were in GH II? And can you choose which track(lead, rhythm, bass) you want to do in Quick Play, or is it still confined to Practice and Co-Op?

Well what I've played in Co-op so far, there's less rhythm parts in GH3 than the others. And I haven't checked out quickplay yet, I'm still goin on the career.

It's not that bad. The bass lines are pretty good, so it's not a huge loss not having as many rhythm parts. Battle mode is pretty fun too.

Are the bass lines more complex and fun to play than they were in II? Speaking of bass, I find that using the D-Pad on the XPlorer to strum makes it feel and look more like you're actually playing a bass instead. Playing John The Fisherman or YYZ with that thing is intense..hopefully III has some good bass tracks to use it with.

Because it's a demo and the demo's don't come with guitars. So we are forced to use the controller.
