How to edit language files

Here are the names of the language files in it.
American.gxt: English language
French.gxt: French language
Spanish.gxt: Spanish language
Italian.gxt: Italian language
German.gxt: German language
These files contain car names, missions names, etc. But if you have any car mods or want to edit these files you can edit them.
You can not use Notepad however. You need to use a program called 'GXT Tool'.
Get it here.
Now when you have that, make a backup in your GTAIII folder. This is because if you want all orginal GXT files back.
If you don't backup, and you want the orginal GXT Files back, reinstall the game.
Do not ask for any GXT files if you forget to backup. GTANET is not a file sharing network.
Now when that's done, you're now ready to edit the file !
How to edit the GXT files
I am going to be giving the infernus name, 'Lamborghini Diablo'
1. Run GXT Tool.
2. Open up whatever GXT file in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTAIII\TEXT. So if you're french open up french.gxt, etc.
You will get something like this.
3. Find where it says infernus. However there are two sections for it. Where it says car 12, etc, do not edit that part.
4. Where it says Infernus, change it to 'Lamborghini Diablo', without the quotation marks.
5. Now save.
6. Get in the Infernus, and it'll say Lamborghini Diablo.
That's it! Pretty easy to do !
Just do the same with vice city and san andreas, except you can't use GTA3GXT. Run a google search for them to find them.
But remember, if you replaced the infernus name with 'Lamborghini Diablo' in american.gxt (english language, it would say infernus in any other language)
