Any of you dudes playing CS:GO? I've been on that like a villain lately. Can't get enough competitive. It's a return to mechanics of an FPS I can actually enjoy in a barebones setting. Haven't had that since 2009 or so.

Speaking of ARMA, I really want to play Day Z, it looks awesome. Anyone got some game time clocked up in it?

A few people convinced me to grab ARMA and play Dayz when it was just a mod, I did, and they weren't on once in the next month so I stopped. Neither are really my kind of game, but if you like that type of game they are pretty awesome. Like even someone like me who wasn't really into it could see the power of a game like ARMA, and what it was capable of. Since nobody was on I ended up playing ARMA more than Dayz, though really I just set up some attacks on an area by more than one enemy force, threw in some airstrikes and such, then tried to see how far I could get solo in the middle of two large enemy groups fighting each other. Also flew around a bit, since finding an aircraft in dayz wasn't anywhere near as easy as just grabbing one in arma.

Also, my f*cking NAS just died. And it had to happen now, the first time in like 10 years I haven't had multiple backups. Luckily I have an old external in my closet with 900GB+ of tv on it, but I still lost everything I've gotten since after like Dec 2010. Grrr. Trying to figure out what I lost and where to start in redownloading is exhausting me, I can't even be bothered right now.

I bought Dayz, had a run around in it... Whoa boy, that's a pre alpha game for sure. Had to wash the taste out of my mouth with a little Octodad.

Octodad is awesome.

What's your Steam, Otts? Also, Octodad is indeed awesome. It brings me back to games that are just absurd and whimsical. I love it.

Haven't had the chance to try it yet; figured (wrongly) I'd be more interested in Dayz out the gate. And my Windows partition is now running low on room.

I have this extra frustrating bug in DayZ where the mouse cursor doesn't move in menus. :(

Damn, I never had the chance to play DayZ but I played ArmA for a good bit for my PC took a sh*t. I miss it.. though coming from a military background, I suppose I liked it more than most other casual gamers might. It involves real tactics and commands. Takes a strong mind and all to play, especially in a server if you're with a bunch of role-playing dudes.

I remember watching a video that took a group of pals to finish a mission in around 8-10hrs.. though they played the mission by the book. Tactics, commands, waiting out passing enemies, etc. Depending on your play type, it can be a f*cking excellent game. I hope to finally finish building my new PC and get my hands on ArmA III.

He started a new account (http://www.gtaforums...showuser=542470) the nerner one was compromised, and he ended up forum suiciding a couple years ago. Tragic tale.

Yeah I just bought Day Z and played with a friend, not sure if it's because the game is still in alpha or whether the Australian servers just suck but I was lagging everywhere and watching zombies crawl through floors to chase me. I just watched the trailer for Octodad and the theme song alone has warranted a purchase.

I figured out the mouse bug, then spent a long time with Dayz. A few characters in, I'm enjoying the experience. Got a decent amount of weapons and supplies after starving myself to each the military base and airfield.  But it all feels so... temporary. Like, I wish you could build a base or something.

It is hands down my favorite show of all time. Though to be honest, in the end it was likely all the scifi geek/tech nerd references in it that pushed it to the top.

We're about a third of the way into season 4. Still awesome. Can't believe I hadn't got into it until now!

Have any of you mooks got into house of cards season two? So good.

I say leave it as it is. A little bit of misinformation fits perfectly into PI's psyops policy.

Also, this post will self destruct in 30 seconds...

I think he's just failing to read between the lines....

Look, the group is nearly ten years old. We're suffering a little dementia.
